Clark is retiring from football, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Clark did not report to training camp and there's no mention of why the receiver is hanging up the cleats. Nonetheless he'll retire with four catches and 41 receiving targets to his name, all coming in the final two games of the regular season when Clark failed to take advantage of 14 total targets.

Clark was absent from OTAs on Monday due to an ankle injury, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Clark is expected to serve as a depth option in the passing game in 2018 after getting his contract tendered by the Packers back in March, but if the ankle injury is going to affect his availability for a good portion of the offseason, it could have an impact on his standing on the team's roster. The Packers have a few more days of OTAs before the start of their mandatory minicamp.

The Packers tendered Clark's contract on Monday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As an exclusive rights free agent, Clark's tendering means that he'll be back in Green Bay in 2018. The young wideout showed flashes of talent late last season which made him somewhat of a priority keepsake this offseason. While it's unclear as of what role Clark will have once September rolls around, the Packers will be playing the roster merry-go-round which could clear things up by the end of the month.

Clark caught one pass for five yards in the Packers' Week 17 loss to the Lions and finished his rookie season with four receptions for 41 yards over two games.
EDGE Analysis
Clark spent most of the year on the practice squad, but he got a chance to see some run late in the season thanks to injuries to his fellow receivers. The Packers like his size and athleticism, but he has minimal experience playing football after spending most of college playing basketball, so he is going to have some refining to do if he hopes to play a bigger role in his sophomore season.

Clark figures to handle a significant role with Jordy Nelson (shoulder) and Davante Adams (concussion) ruled out for Sunday's game in Detroit, Michael Cohen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
A 6-foot-6 undrafted rookie, Clark spent most of the season on the practice squad and was called up to the active roster Dec. 1. He unexpectedly drew nine targets in last week's 16-0 loss to the Vikings, finishing with three catches for 36 yards in an ugly Brett Hundley start. The Green Bay passing game gets a more manageable matchup this week, with Clark and Geronimo Allison (illness) likely flanking slot man Randall Cobb in three-wide formations. None of the trio is a sure thing for target volume or production, as Adams is the only Green Bay pass-catcher who's shown any ability to put up decent stats with Hundley under center.

Clark hauled in three of nine targets for 36 yards in Saturday's 16-0 loss to the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
Clark, who the Packers promoted from the practice squad earlier this month, saw surprisingly heavy usage in his NFL debut. With Davante Adams (concussion) ruled out ahead of the contest and Jordy Nelson (shoulder) departing early, Clark logged 28 snaps and tied for the team lead in targets and receiving yardage. While quarterback Brett Hundley's lack of accuracy during the outing didn't help Clark's efficiency, the rookie did provide the highlight of the night for Green Bay with a diving 19-yard grab early in the fourth quarter. If Adams and Nelson are sidelined for the season finale Dec. 31 against the Lions, Clark could be busy once again as he looks to stake his claim to a larger role in the passing attack in 2018.

The Packers promoted Clark from their practice squad Friday.
EDGE Analysis
At 6-foot-6 and 217 pounds, Clark offers plenty of size and athleticism, but a lack of experience -- he played just one season of college football at Marshall after previously playing Division 1 basketball at St. Francis (Pa.) -- makes him more of a long-term prospect than an on-field contributor for the Packers. He'll be seventh on the depth chart at wide receiver and will likely be inactive for any games so long as he remains on the 53-man roster.
