The Cardinals placed Williams (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 2015 second-round pick was threatening for a Year 7 breakout before he suffered a major knee injury in the Week 5 win over San Francisco. While the Cardinals haven't confirmed that it's a season-ending injury, multiple reports suggest Williams likely tore a ligament. Prior to Sunday, he enjoyed the most productive stretch of his career in Weeks 2 through 4, catching 15 of 15 targets for 179 yards and a touchdown. The Cardinals are now left with Darrell Daniels, Demetrius Harris and recent practice-squad signing Richard Rodgers at tight end.

Williams (knee) may have suffered a season-ending injury during Sunday's win over the 49ers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williams had to be carted off the field after suffering a low hit from a 49ers defender. A 2015 second-round pick, the timing of Williams' injury is particularly brutal due to the strong chemistry he had demonstrated with Kyler Murray early in the season. With 16 catches for 193 yards and one touchdown over the last four weeks, Williams appeared to finally be developing into a more consistent receiving threat. If his injury indeed is confirmed to be season-ending, a combination of Darrell Daniels (COVID-19), Demetrius Harris and Ross Travis will have to step up at tight end for Arizona.

Williams (knee) won't return to Sunday's contest against the 49ers, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williams took a low hit from a 49ers defender at the end of his only catch of the day late in the second quarter and needed a cart to get to the locker room. With a knee injury confirmed, the Cardinals likely are holding out hope that it doesn't affect his left ACL. Behind Williams -- and with Darrell Daniels (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list -- the team is down to Demetrius Harris and Ross Travis at tight end.

Williams sustained a leg injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game versus the 49ers, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
At the end of his only catch of the day, a 14-yarder, Williams took the brunt of a low hit from a San Francisco defender on his left leg. He required a cart to leave the field, and while the nature of the injury is unknown, he doesn't seem like a candidate to return. With fellow tight end Darrell Daniels (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the Cardinals have only Demetrius Harris and Ross Travis as healthy options at the position.

Williams (shoulder) is active for Sunday's contest against the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Williams has put himself on the fantasy radar of late by hauling in all 15 targets for 179 yards and one TD over the last three games. His status for Week 5 was in question after he followed a DNP/LP/LP practice regimen in advance of this game. Now that he's available to play Sunday, Williams will aim to produce again versus a San Francisco defense that has allowed 7.2 YPT to tight ends this season.

Williams (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll take the injury tag into the weekend after he was limited in practices Thursday and Friday. With the Cardinals' top backup tight end, Darrell Daniels, on the reserve/COVID-19 list, third-stringer Demetrius Harris would pick up the Week 5 start if Williams ends up on the inactive list Sunday.

Williams (shoulder) was limited at practice Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williams has been a regular receiver for Kyler Murray over the last three games, hauling in all 15 of his targets for 179 yards and one touchdown. Now that he's upgraded from Wednesday's missed session, Williams seems to be heading in the right direction through his shoulder issue. Friday's injury report could clear Williams' status entirely for Sunday's contest against the 49ers.

Williams (shoulder) didn't practice Wednesday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After failing to catch his only target on a season-high snap share (79 percent) in Week 1, Williams has been busy as a receiver over the last three games on less work, hauling in all 15 passes directed his way from Kyler Murray for 179 yards and one touchdown. It's unclear if Williams' current health concern will threaten his ability to suit up Sunday versus the 49ers, but he'll look to get back on the practice field Thursday and/or Friday and put himself in a position to do so.

Williams caught all five of his targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-20 win over the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
The tight end had another big performance, tying A.J. Green for the team lead in catches while falling one yard short of Green and DeAndre Hopkins for the team lead in receiving yards on the afternoon. Williams got into the end zone for the first time this season in the second quarter, hauling in a 14-yard strike from Kyler Murray to give the Cards a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Williams will look to continue his strong start to the campaign in Week 5 against the 49ers.

Williams posted three catches (on three targets) for 19 yards during Sunday's 31-19 win at Jacksonville.
EDGE Analysis
Williams continues to earn the bulk of the Cardinals' snaps on offense this season, with his 76-percent share Sunday in line with his marks from Weeks 1 and 2 (80 and 74 percent, respectively). Meanwhile, fellow TEs Darrell Daniels (34 percent) and Demetrius Harris (10) remained well behind Williams in Week 3. Williams' output has been sporadic to date, as he followed up a zero-catch performance in the season opener with a 7-94-0 line on seven targets Week 2. Considering he's only surpassed 200 yards receiving twice in six seasons prior to 2021, he'll likely be hard-pressed to do more than his performance this past Sunday on a weekly basis.
