Bears waived WR Max Komar. It's odd timing for a release, but in Komar's own words, he was cut loose because of a "lingering injury that occurred late last season and got progressively worse this offseason." Komar was released by the Cardinals with an injury settlement last October before signing with the Bears in Week 15. A former undrafted free agent with nine catches in 10 career games, Komar will have to prove he's 100 percent before latching on somewhere as a camp body.

Bears signed WR Max Komar from their practice squad. Komar, formerly of the Cardinals, will take over as the No. 5 receiver with Sam Hurd waived and Johnny Knox out for the season.
