Jay Cutler has not cleared the NFL's concussion protocol, so Moore is slated to start Sunday's game against the Patriots, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Overall, the Patriots are allowing a league-high average of 282.0 passing yards per game, but they've been tightening things up on defense of late, so this is not necessarily a great matchup for Moore. In relief of Cutler in Week 11's 30-20 loss to the Buccaneers, Moore completed 17 of 28 passes for 282 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. He's an option for those scrambling for Week 12 QB help, or looking a low-priced option to roll with in daily formats.

Dolphins coach Adam Gase suggested Monday that Moore will remain the backup if Jay Cutler (concussion) is healthy enough to play Week 12 against the Patriots, James Walker of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gase apparently isn't buying into the idea of a quarterback controversy, perhaps remembering Moore's calamitous performance as the starter in a 40-0 loss to the Ravens back in Week 8. Moore undeniably has been effective as a mid-game replacement for Cutler on two occasions this season, highlighted by his 282 passing yards in the second half of Sunday's 30-20 loss to the Buccaneers. While Cutler's seat undoubtedly is getting warm, it sounds as if Moore will only get the Week 12 start if his teammate fails to clear the concussion protocol in time for Sunday's game.

Moore completed 17 of 28 passes for 282 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 30-20 loss to the Buccaneers. He netted zero yards on his sole rush.
EDGE Analysis
Taking over for an injured Jay Cutler (concussion) to start the second half, Moore led the Dolphins on a nine-play, 70-yard drive that culminated in a Cody Parkey field goal to open the third quarter. He repeated the feat on Miami's next possession, helming an 11-play, 66-yard march that consumed nearly five minutes. Moore subsequently capped off a five play, 74-yard possession by hitting Kenny Stills with a game-tying 61-yard touchdown with three minutes remaining. While the defense ultimately failed to prevent the Buccaneers from positioning themselves for a game-winning field goal, Moore certainly looked considerably more effective than Cutler, who'd thrown three first-half interceptions. Moore had been serviceable in spot duty in two previous games this season, but Sunday's effort was on another level altogether. Consequently, it's conceivable head coach Adam Gase could opt to turn to him in a Week 12 divisional clash against the Patriots.

Moore completed 25 of 44 passes for 176 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in Thursday's 40-0 loss to the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Moore averaged a meager 4.0 yards per attempt and saw one of his two interceptions returned for a touchdown by Jimmy Smith in the fourth quarter to close out the scoring on the night. The veteran signal caller couldn't get much going with his receivers until garbage time, and Kenny Stills was the only Dolphins pass catcher to have a double-digit YPC by game's end. Granted, Jay Cutler has looked equally bad at times this season, so Moore's performance wasn't exactly the only factor making the team utterly non-competitive in the contest. That said, latest reports project Cutler being available for a Week 9 Sunday night matchup versus the Raiders, so Moore's short-lived starting tenure is likely over at this point.

Dolphins head coach Adam Gase said Monday that he expects Moore to start the Dolphins' Week 8 game Thursday against the Ravens with Jay Cutler (ribs) unlikely to be available, Jason Lieser of The Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cutler exited Sunday's 31-28 win over the Jets in the third quarter after being taken down hard to the ground, with a follow-up MRI determining that he suffered two fractured ribs. Moore sparkled in relief of Cutler to lead Miami to a comeback victory, completing 13 of 21 passes for 188 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. It's not believed that Cutler's injury will result in an extended absence, but Gase was unwilling Monday to commit to the incumbent automatically gaining the starting job back upon his return to full health. With Cutler sitting on an unremarkable 78.8 quarterback rating through his six starts, Moore could end up holding down the starting gig beyond Week 8 if he's able to provide the Dolphins with better play behind center.

Moore completed 13 of 21 passes for 188 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 31-28 win over the Jets. Starter, Jay Cutler was taken for a MRI on his chest, the Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moore promptly threw a pick upon entering the ballgame, but then led Miami to 17 unanswered points for the comeback win, including a pair of touchdown strikes to Kenny Stills. Moore was solid in relief of Ryan Tannehill last season with a 8:3 TD:INT ratio in three games and he might be thrust into a similar role against Baltimore. More tests are needed on Jay Cutler's injured chest, but the quick turnaround for Thursday night's game might make Moore the man.

Moore stepped in at quarterback after starter Ryan Tannehill left practice Thursday with a possible left knee injury, the Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The severity of Tannehill's injury has yet to be clarified, but at first glance it's not hard to imagine him missing some time. In such a scenario, Moore would step in as the Dolphins' top signal-caller. While Moore doesn't possess the level of upside that Tannehill does, he is a capable veteran option who could carve out fantasy utility while working with targets such as top wideouts Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills and DeVante Parker, along with new tight end Julius Thomas.

Moore completed 29 of 36 passes for 289 yards with a touchdown and interception in Sunday's 30-12 wild-card loss to the Steelers. He also gained two yards on one rush and lost two fumbles.
EDGE Analysis
The final numbers look more than adequate from a fantasy perspective, but three untimely mistakes ultimately defined Moore's afternoon and sealed the Dolphins' fate. Moore lost the handle on a late second-quarter sack by James Harrison deep in Steelers territory, and then repeated the dubious feat on the opening possession of the third quarter when he was separated from the ball by Mike Mitchell at the Steelers' 42. The veteran signal-caller then failed to see Ryan Shazier on a pass over the middle for Jarvis Landry on the next possession, leading to an interception and return by the former to Dolphins' 25-yard line. Moore otherwise hung tough on a day when he was brought down five times overall and hit on many other occasions, including one instance when he had to leave the game for one play after a hard hit by Bud Dupree. Although he ultimately couldn't get his team past the opening postseason game, Moore once again validated his reputation as one of the NFL's most capable backups with his performance over the last three weeks of the regular season and Sunday's contest.

Moore is slated to start Sunday's playoff game against the Steelers, the Sun-Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per the report, Ryan Tannehill is not even in line to suit up as a backup, as he works his way back from a knee injury. In four games this season, including three starts, Moore logged a 105.6 passer rating, while recording an 8:3 TD:INT ratio in that span. He'll take aim Sunday at a Pittsburgh defense that ranked 16th in the league in the passing yards allowed department, with an average mark of 242.6 per game.

Moore completed 24 of 34 passes for 205 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 35-14 loss to the Patriots. He also fumbled once but recovered.
EDGE Analysis
Moore was efficient enough in the regular-season finale, despite the fact that his team's defense was steamrolled by a Patriots team vying for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. He displayed particular rapport with Jarvis Landry, connecting with the PPR monster on nine of the team-high 12 targets he directed his way. While Moore has certainly proven capable of leading the Miami offense in his three starts during Ryan Tannehill's (knee) absence, the stakes will be considerably higher and the conditions much tougher if he finds himself under center in next weekend's Wild Card showdown versus the Steelers. Tannehill's status remains up in the air, and certainly will be monitored closely as the practice week unfolds.
