Free agent S Marvin White has denied making threats and being verbally abusive toward management at his child's day care center on Thursday. "I didn't make any threats while I was present at my children's daycare," White said in a statement released to Pro Football Talk. "I am looking forward to putting this situation behind me." The situation has yet to be resolved legally, but doesn't seem major enough to warrant a suspension this season.

Free agent S Marvin White was arrested and charged with simple assault and disturbing the peace by loud and abusive language on Thursday in Opelousas, La. At a day care center to pick up his child, White reportedly became "verbally abusive to the management when the manager assumed he was boyfriend of (his) child's mother," according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz. When asked to leave, "he then made threats in front of the children and other adults," and was ultimately arrested. A four-year veteran, White made just one tackle in three games for the Bengals last season.
