The 6-foot-4, 303-pounder, who recorded 20 tackles and 0.5 sacks in 10 games for the Giants last season, adds further depth to a New England defensive line that bid adieu to Akiem Hicks and Sealver Siliga this offseason.

Kuhn (ankle) will not play Monday against the Lions, Dan Graziano of ESPN reports. Kuhn hurt his ankle in the Giants preseason game August 22, and hasn't quite been able to get healthy. He'll rest Sunday and try to return for Week 2.
