The New York Daily News is echoing an ESPN report that the Eagles are expected to sign free agent Mark Sanchez. A flurry of Sanchez reports surfaced Monday afternoon, some lightly connecting him to St. Louis and Cleveland, another to the Giants, and several to the Eagles. It's believed -- tentatively at this point -- that Philly will sign Sanchez after a physical. The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane added Monday that the Eagles have "definite interest" in Sanchez, but "have to check on his medical condition." Per McLane, "there are still a few hurdles to clear."

Coach Jeff Fisher confirmed the Rams have interest in free agent QB Mark Sanchez. Sanchez would be a fine add for the Rams. He spent three years in New York with offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, would be an upgrade on current backup Austin Davis and starter Sam Bradford is coming off an ACL tear. Additionally, Braford's exorbitant contract contains no more guaranteed money and expires following the 2015 season.

ESPN New York considers the Rams a possible landing spot for free agent Mark Sanchez. Sanchez played under OC Brian Schottenheimer for three seasons with the Jets and could be a fit in the Rams' West Coast offense. With Sam Bradford coming off ACL surgery, St. Louis is in the market for a backup quarterback, and Sanchez would be an upgrade over Austin Davis. ESPN's Rich Cimini also lists the Bears, Seahawks, and Browns as possible suitors.

GM John Idzik says the Jets are in "constant contact" with Mark Sanchez's player rep. Speaking on a Thursday conference call, Idzik pledged to "take advantage of time" with the team's Sanchez decision. Sanchez's $2 million roster bonus is due on March 25, so in reality, Idzik has only five more days. Idzik has no real incentive to make the move now, but it's supremely unlikely he finds a trade partner between now and Tuesday.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport expects the Texans to have interest in Mark Sanchez "if/when he's released." Sanchez is expected to be cut before March 25, when his $2 million roster bonus comes do. RapSheet seems to be forecasting a Matt Schaub-for-Sanchez switcheroo in Houston. The Texans at this point are expected to pass on a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick in May's draft. It's entirely possible Sanchez winds up as Bill O'Brien's Week 1 starter, based on the most recent reports.

Mark Sanchez's $2 million roster bonus is due on March 25. There's been no movement on the Sanchez front because the Jets don't have to make a move before the bonus due date. Although the chances are slim to none, it's possible the Jets are holding out hope a team offers them a conditional seventh-round pick for Sanchez. It's far likelier we'll see Sanchez cut this week, or early next week. The Raiders are expected to have interest.

Profootballtalk reports there's still a chance Mark Sanchez remains with the Jets on a "revised deal." It jibes with what NFL.com and ESPN New York reported last month. For whatever reason, the Jets are taking the decision down to the wire, but it would still be extremely surprising if Sanchez remained with Gang Green in 2014.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Jets still haven't told Mark Sanchez "he's gone." Sanchez should get the message soon enough. ESPN New York reported Wednesday that there's a "20-30 percent chance" Sanchez is back in 2014, but that would require him agreeing to a massive pay cut before his $2 million roster bonus comes due on March 25. All signs have suggested for months that Sanchez's Jets career is over. Both sides need to move on.
