Harrison was released by the Chiefs on Saturday, the team's official site reports. Harrison spent the 2013 season on the reserve/non-football injury list with the Patriots, but took his chances with the Chiefs in training camp. Despite a lackluster crop of receivers the team currently trots out, Harrison didn't make enough of an impact in the preseason to earn a roster spot ahead of either Frankie Hammond or Albert Wilson.

Ex-Patriots WR Mark Harrison reportedly showed up late to an OTA practice this week, before New England waived him. Harrison isn't technically a free agent yet -- he's on waivers -- but he will be shortly. He has health problems, and now apparently a tardiness red flag, things that tend to bother older-school coaches. Off-field problems were one of the many reasons Harrison was not selected in last April's draft.

Patriots waived WR Mark Harrison. A favorite in some Dynasty league circles, Harrison spent his 2013 rookie year on injured reserve with a fractured foot, and didn't recover in time for 2014 OTAs. He was obviously behind schedule. Harrison is 23 years old with 4.46 jets at 6'3/230. He'll definitely draw interest if his health is right.

Patriots WR Mark Harrison (foot) is practicing fully at OTAs. There was pre-draft speculation the Pats might try Harrison at tight end -- he's 6-foot-3, 231 with 4.46 speed -- but he's practicing at wide receiver. Harrison will have a difficult time making the Patriots' 53 behind Aaron Dobson, Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Brandon LaFell, and Kenbrell Thompkins.

ESPN Boston believes the Patriots could consider moving WR Mark Harrison to tight end. A meaty 6-foot-3, 230 pounds, Harrison spent his entire rookie year on the PUP list with a foot injury. A second-year undrafted free agent with 4.46 wheels, Harrison would be an intriguing prospect as a "move" tight end.

Patriots placed WR Mark Harrison on the reserve/PUP list. A size-speed freak out of Rutgers, Harrison spent the entire pre-draft process and training camp recovering from a foot problem. He's highly unlikely to be a 2013 contributor and figures to spend the year on the PUP list.

Patriots signed Rutgers WR Mark Harrison. An undrafted free agent, Harrison originally agreed to terms with the Bears but was turned away at rookie minicamp when he failed his physical due to a foot injury. Harrison is talented -- he's 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds with 4.46 wheels -- but he'll have an uphill climb to make the 53-man roster in New England.

Undrafted rookie WR Mark Harrison failed his Bears physical and will return to free agency. The sides had agreed to terms on a UDFA contract, but Harrison is recovering from foot surgery and wasn't medically cleared at rookie minicamp. The Bears are expected to "revisit" re-signing Harrison at a later date, though he could now also land elsewhere. Harrison was one of this year's top UDFA wideouts.

Undrafted rookie Bears WR Mark Harrison is recovering from foot surgery, but is expected to be ready for training camp. Harrison's injury is reportedly similar to the one that held Hakeem Nicks out last offseason. It's likely why the 6-foot-3, 230 pound wideout - who boasts 4.46 speed - went undrafted. Provided he's healthy, Harrison will be in the mix for the Bears' final receiver spot.
