Jones (elbow) was a limited participant in Monday's walkthrough practice.
EDGE Analysis
Jones logged four tackles (two solo) during the Patriots' 28-23 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday, but he appears to have come out of that game with an elbow injury. With the Patriots playing the Jets on Thursday, the third-year corner will have two more opportunities to increase his practice participation and avoid an injury designation for Week 11.

The Patriots signed Jones to a three-year contract extension Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Jones' deal contains $36 million in new money and ties him to New England through the 2028 season. A first-team All-Pro selection as a punt returner in 2022, Jones has continued to shine on special teams this season, most notably returning a punt 87 yards for a touchdown in a Week 4 win over the Panthers. However, it's on the defensive end where Jones has emerged as an indispensable piece in 2025 after having previously worked in more of a part-time role in his first three seasons in the league. Through eight games, Jones has excelled as New England's top slot corner, amassing 36 tackles, nine pass breakups, two interceptions and a sack.

Jones finished with five tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 42-13 win over Carolina. He added 167 yards and a touchdown on three punt returns.
EDGE Analysis
Jones tied his season-high mark in tackles, but where he really shined was as a punt returner. The fourth-year cornerback returned a punt 87 yards for a score in the first quarter and also had a 61-yard return in the second period before capping his big day with a 19-yard return in the third. The TD was his second punt-return touchdown of his career.

EDGE Analysis
Jones will be sidelined for a second straight game due to a hip injury he likely picked up against the Cardinals in Week 15. He has been unable to practice since the injury, so which puts him in jeopardy of being sidelined for the Patriots' regular-season finale against the Bills on Sunday, Jan. 5. Alex Austin is slated to serve as New England's slot corner for a second straight game due to Jones' injury.

Jones (hip) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones logged six tackles (five solo) across 30 defensive snaps during this past Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Cardinals. Jones will have two more opportunities to practice this week ahead of Sunday's AFC East showdown against the Bills.
