Brown (calf) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Brown appears to be nursing an undisclosed calf injury, making his availability for Super Bowl LIII murky at best. If the 24-year-old is unable to get fully healthy prior to Sunday's contest, the Patriots' likely won't hesitate to slot backup defensive tackle Adam Butler -- who outsnapped Brown during the last two games -- into the starting lineup.

Brown (knee) will play Sunday versus the Bears.
EDGE Analysis
Brown will return from his one-game absence and looks to contain Bears' running backs Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen. The fourth-year pro has 10 tackles (eight solo) through five games so he's not a viable IDP option at this time.

Brown (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears.
EDGE Analysis
Brown continues to progress in his recovery from a knee injury sustained in Week 5, and was a limited participant in Friday's practice. It remains to be seen whether the starting defensive tackle will suit up against the Bears on Sunday, but if Brown remains sidelined expect Adam Butler to once again play more snaps.

Brown (knee) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Brown left the Patriots' Week 5 win over the Colts prematurely due to a knee injury, but he was able to practice in limited fashion Friday as his status for Week 6 remains up in the air. If he's unable to play, however, Adam Butler could see an expanded role next to Lawrence Guy at defensive tackle.

Brown is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Colts with a knee injury.
EDGE Analysis
As long as Brown is out, Adam Butler is expected to take over at defensive tackle alongside Lawrence Guy. Knee injuries are oftentimes detrimental, so there will be hope that Brown is simply nicked up.

Brown won't have his fifth-year team option picked up for the 2019 season, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown joins fellow defensive lineman Danny Shelton and wide receiver Phillip Dorsett as players failing to have their fifth-year options picked up by the Patriots. That doesn't mean the two sides are ultimately going to part ways though, considering Brown and the Patriots could agree to a contract extension when he's a free agent ahead of the 2019 campaign. This past season, Brown saw action in 13 games (12 starts), tallying 49 tackles and 2.5 sacks. He figures to fight for a starting defensive tackle role alongside Shelton in 2018.

EDGE Analysis
Brown was unable to practice earlier in the week due to a minor foot injury, but the 2015 first-rounder appears to have put the issue behind him. The starting defensive tackle has six total tackles through two playoff games.

Brown (foot) was held out of Thursday's practice, Mike Reiss of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown was limited on Wednesday, so the downward trend is somewhat worrisome. However, the defensive tackle still has 10 days to recover in advance of Super Bowl LII. Keep an eye on his status as Feb. 4 approaches.

Brown (ankle) is active for Sunday's tilt against the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Brown was limited in practice for the second straight week, but, unlike last week, he'll give it a go this time around. It's unclear if he'll start or if he'll be limited at all in his first game back since suffering the injury in Week 7.
