EDGE Analysis
Bowanko spent the offseason in New England, and will now provide some much-needed depth to Washington's offensive line. With starting guards Shawn Lauvao (knee) and Brandon Scherff (pectoral) both having suffered season-ending injuries, Bowanko could slot into the starting rotation as early as Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

EDGE Analysis
Bowanko underwent hip surgery on May 23, and his recovery was initially slated to last between two and three months. Regardless, being placed on the PUP will keep him sidelined through the first six games of the season, leaving the former 2014 sixth-rounder with plenty of time to rehab. Bowanko will first be eligible to return to action on Oct. 27 against Tennessee.

Jaguars signed sixth-round OL Luke Bowanko to a four-year contract. Although Bowanko was announced as a center during the draft, he played all along the interior at UVA, and has tackle length at 6-foot-5 1/2, 302 with 34 1/2-inch arms. He doesn't look like a center, at all. We suspect Bowanko will max out as a utility "swing" reserve who's stretched too thin as a starter.
