Seahawks re-signed G/C Lemuel Jeanpierre to a one-year contract. A versatile interior reserve, Jeanpierre was set for restricted free agency. He made three starts in 2013, but won't be counted on for a first-team role in 2014. Jeanpierre turns 27 in May. He's a former UDFA out of South Carolina.

Lemuel Jeanpierre will take over as the Seahawks right guard with Paul McQuistan filling at left tackle. What a name. Lemuel comes from Proverbs 31: Sayings of King Lemuel in the Bible. Jeanpierre comes from Haitian grandfather who settled in Louisiana. Undrafted out of South Carolina in 2010, Jeanpierre also has the nickname "Lem-opedia" due to his high football IQ. OL coach Tom Cable has had success plugging in backups the past few weeks, so Marshawn Lynch should keep rolling along.
