Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Friday that Lee Evans (ankle) has an "outside chance" to play in Week 10 against the Seahawks. It sounds like Evans would be available for a small role only, perhaps in four-receiver sets. "If we had a situation where we needed him, he could go," Harbaugh said. Ultimately, we'd bet against Evans playing Sunday. He could be back as a third receiver behind Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith in Week 11.

Lee Evans (ankle) is expected to practice once again on Thursday. Evans said he had no setbacks after making his return to practice Wednesday. Therefore, it appears he's on track to play as soon as this week. If active, he'll likely rotate with Torrey Smith, capping the fantasy value of both.

Lee Evans said he needs to test his ankle at full speed before deciding if he can play in Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Evans has made attempts to return to practice a few times this year, only to get shut back down after feeling pain in his ankle. So he's taking a cautious approach this time. Even if Evans is surprisingly active this week, he'll likely rotate with Torrey Smith for limited snaps.

Lee Evans (ankle) said he'll attempt to practice Wednesday. It's finally a step in the right direction for Evans. Regardless, we wouldn't expect to see Evans have a significant role right away. He hasn't played since Week 2 and Torrey Smith is gaining momentum after his game-winning catch against the Steelers Sunday night.

Coach John Harbaugh confirmed that injured reserve is not being considered as an option for Lee Evans (ankle). Harbaugh is hopeful that Evans will return in "a few weeks." Thinking long term, the Ravens will be patient with Evans in hopes that he can add a spark in December and January.

Lee Evans (ankle) still has not resumed practicing. The Ravens don't appear to be contemplating placing Evans on I.R., but he still has no timetable to return. He's not worth waiting for in 12-team leagues.

Ravens declared WR Lee Evans, CB Chykie Brown, RB Anthony Allen, DB Danny Gorrer, ILB Dannell Ellerbe, G Ben Grubbs and OLB Sergio Kindle inactive for Week 8 against the Cardinals. With Evans out again, Rotoworld ranks Torrey Smith 32nd among fantasy receivers against a Cardinals defense that has allowed the third most completions of 20-plus yards through seven weeks. Gorrer appears to have lost his nickelback job with Chris Carr and Jimmy Smith healthy.

Lee Evans (ankle) said Thursday he hopes to play sometime in the next few weeks. It's not a very promising declaration. Evans has been out since Week 2 with a mysterious ankle issue and it sounds like he doesn't even know what's going on. "It feels a lot better but there's still pain [and] soreness," Evans said. Straight-line speedster Torrey Smith will continue to start.

Lee Evans (ankle) missed Ravens practice Wednesday. Coach John Harbauch has conceded that he doesn't know whether Evans will practice at all before Sunday's game. Look for Torrey Smith to get the start again, this week versus a Cardinals defense getting peppered with deep shots.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh is unsure if Lee Evans (ankle) will return to practice this week. "As far as (Evans), we'll just have to see as the week goes on," Harbaugh said. "(His ankle has) been such a mystery, and it's still got to heal." Evans did not practice at all last week, and his fifth straight absence appears likely in Week 8. He's a poor bench stash in deeper leagues.
