The Detroit News reports the Lions would like to re-sign free agent OLB Landon Johnson and "let him compete for a starting spot."
Johnson's 2010 season ended in ugly fashion when he was placed on injured reserve in Week 17 after suffering two concussions in three weeks. The Lions are thin enough at outside linebacker that they are expected to keep Bobby Carpenter around, however, so it's not surprising they are hoping to retain Johnson.
