The Rams want TE Lance Kendricks to improve on his "out-of-frame" catching. Kendricks has good hands, but struggles at times when he has to reach away from his body for the football. The second-year man has just 10 catches for 88 yards and one touchdown through five games despite playing on about 85 percent of the snaps. Even with Danny Amendola (collarbone) sidelined, we can't treat Kendricks as a viable fantasy option.

Lance Kendricks caught one pass for seven yards and a touchdown in Week 5. Kendricks opened up the scoring on the game's opening drive, beating Cardinals LB Paris Lenon for a red zone score. With the St. Louis offensive line decimated by injuries, Kendricks is being used mostly as a blocker. He saw just two targets on the night, dropping the other. The second-year tight end is not a fantasy option.

With four games in the books, Kendricks has looked sharper than he did during a lost rookie season, but is still on pace for only 36 catches and 324 yards. He's not worth a bench spot in deeper leagues.

Lance Kendricks caught two passes for 25 yards in the Rams Week 2 win over the Redskins. The good news is that Kendricks caught both passes thrown to him. The bad news is that, like last week, Kendricks was seldom asked to run pass routes. There's barely a fantasy pulse here.

According to the Rams official website, early indications from offseason practices suggest TE Lance Kendricks will figure "prominently" in OC Brian Schottenheimer's offense. As evidenced by the nine tight ends on the roster, it's a position of importance in Schottenheimer's scheme, with only the quarterback carrying a heavier responsibility. Kendricks was deployed at fullback, on the line of scrimmage, and out wide during the offseason program. Schottenheimer's 2010 starter at tight end, Dustin Keller, led the Jets in targets with 115.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks missed the majority of minicamp with an undisclosed injury. Kendricks' injury isn't known to be serious, but it's a concern after he was slowed for a large chunk of his rookie campaign by a lingering foot ailment. Kendricks appeared to be moving in slow motion by Week 17. He's the No. 29 tight end in Rotoworld's initial rankings.

Rams OC Brian Schottenheimer admitted that the Rams' tight end gameplan revolves around Lance Kendricks. "We really liked Lance back in New York when we looked at him," Schottenheimer said. "I think he's got a chance to be a terrific all-around player." He went on to say that the other tight ends will play a complimentary role. If Sam Bradford can take a giant step forward, Kendricks, a second-round pick one year ago, will be in for a breakout.

Lance Kendricks caught three passes for 54 yards in St. Louis' Week 17 loss to the 49ers. True to form, Kendricks also committed an easy drop, unofficially giving him nine in what ended up being a very rocky rookie season. Held out of the end zone in 15 games, Kendricks finishes the year with just 28 catches for 52 yards. Less explosive than he was billed as coming out of the University of Wisconsin, Kendricks is going to have a hard time breaking out in 2012 if he can't figure out how to stop dropping so many passes.

Lance Kendricks caught two passes for 13 yards in St. Louis' Week 16 loss to the Steelers. A popular sleeper pick coming into the season, Kendricks is averaging just 1.8 catches for 21.3 yards with one game to go. More lumbering than advertised with poor hands, Kendricks won't be worth a late-round flier in 10-12 team leagues in 2012.

Lance Kendricks caught one pass for 26 yards in St. Louis' Week 14 loss to Seattle on Monday Night Football. Kendricks' catch came on a screen with St. Louis facing a 1st-and-20 from its own seven-yard line early in the first quarter. It was a nifty play, but he appeared to be running with a hitch, and was targeted only one more time the rest of the night. Kendricks will remain irrelevant in redraft leagues for the season's final three weeks.
