Redskins signed sixth-round RB Lache Seastrunk to a four-year contract. The stone-handed Seastrunk will have to make his mark on special teams as a rookie. He functions well in space but can't pick up the blitz. The former Baylor Bear will compete with Evan Royster and Chris Thompson this summer.

Coach Jay Gruden does not see Lache Seastrunk as an option on third downs. Seastrunk had more drops (10) than catches (9) during his two years at Baylor. Gruden says he sees the sixth-round rookie as a candidate to spell two-down workhorse Alfred Morris. Roy Helu's role is safe.
