Kyshoen Jarrett

Mon 7/25/16 4:17 PM

Jarrett has been waived by the Redskins with a failed physical designation.
EDGE Analysis
Jarrett injured his shoulder in the final game of the 2015 season and suffered nerve damage, which is the reason he hasn't been able to recover since then. It was originally expected that he would be unable to play in 2016, but it now seems as though he may never play again after what was a promising rookie campaign.

Jarrett is waiting to hear how nerve damage in his shoulder is progressing, but some in the Redskins' organization think it's unlikely that he plays in 2016, or ever again, Mike Jones of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
A sixth-round pick for the Redskins in 2015, Jarrett was forced into a large role in the team's secondary around midseason due to a rash of injuries, including those of starters DeAngelo Hall and Chris Culliver, that saw the team play 15 defensive backs on the year. Jarrett played well, recording 58 tackles, four passes defensed, and one forced fumble in his rookie campaign, but he suffered a shoulder injury in the season finale that has proved to be quite serious. He suffered nerve damage to his entire arm and still, five months later, doesn't have much feeling in it. Unless his recovery begins to dramatically accelerate, it appears as though he'll be unable to play in 2016, and if it doesn't progress at all he may never see the field again.
