Wright signed a four-year extension with the Seahawks on Thursday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports. Wright, who is four tackles shy of the first 100-tackle campaign of his career, has solidified outside linebacker in Seattle across from Bruce Irvin.

Wright, who played the last two games at middle linebacker in place of the injured Bobby Wagner, will move back to this usual outside linebacker position this Sunday against the Oakland Raiders, the Associated Press reports. Wright's OLB replacement, Malcolm Smith, suffered a groin injury last week, so Wright will go back to his usual spot and rookie Brock Coyle will start in the middle. Wright's production was about the same in the middle as it was on the outside this year. He averages seven tackles per game.

Seahawks LB K.J. Wright (foot) expects to be "100 percent" for the Super Bowl, and to be back at weak-side linebacker. Sidelined since Week 14, Wright returned for the NFC Championship Game, but played just 16-of-57 snaps. He played on the strong-side because it "required less running." It's unclear if he'll start against the Broncos, but fill-in Malcolm Smith should continue to have a role.

Seahawks SLB K.J. Wright returned from his foot injury to play 16 snaps in Sunday's NFC Championship game win over San Francisco. Wright recorded a quarterback hurry and was officially credited with a pair of tackles. Look for Wright to resume full-time duties in Super Bowl 48, frequently taking on Julius Thomas in coverage. 24-year-old Wright is fairly pedestrian in run defense, but pass coverage is his specialty.

Seahawks SLB K.J. Wright (foot) will play in Sunday's NFC Championship Game. Coach Pete Carroll wouldn't say whether Wright will start, but he made it through a full week of practice without any setbacks and is expected to play "without limitations." A near every-down player before going down, Wright's return will allow the Seahawks to reduce Malcolm Smith's snaps dramatically. Wright will be playing in just his first game action since Week 14.

Seahawks SLB K.J. Wright (foot surgery) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. Wright returned to practice on Wednesday and coach Pete Carroll said there's a "chance" he'll be available for the NFC Championship Game. He would represent an upgrade at strong-side linebacker for the Seahawks, who have been starting Malcolm Smith in his absence. Wright hasn't played since December 8 and will almost certainly be on a snap count if active against the 49ers.

Seahawks SLB K.J. Wright (foot surgery) returned to practice on Wednesday. Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that there's a "chance" Wright returns for the NFC Championship Game, but what he's able to do Wednesday and Thursday will be all important. Wright hasn't played since December 8. Wright was a near every-down player before going down, but he'd almost certainly be on a snap count against the 49ers.

According to Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, there's a "chance" SLB K.J. Wright (foot surgery) is active for Sunday's NFC Championship Game. "We're going to take a look at him on Wednesday," coach Pete Carroll said Monday. "He ran well (Monday) and over the weekend. ... He has a chance. We're excited about that for him." It's been widely presumed that Wright wouldn't be ready to return before a theoretical Super Bowl appearance, so even if he can gain clearance to face the 49ers, he'd almost certainly be on a snap count after missing over a month of action. Of course, even a limited Wright would be a big boost as the 49ers and Seahawks fight for the right to advance to New York.

Seahawks SLB K.J. Wright (foot surgery) will resume running on Thursday, but has been ruled out for the Divisional Round. Wright is barely a month removed from going down in Week 14, and isn't expected to return before a hypothetical Super Bowl appearance. Even then, he'd be less than 50-50 to suit up. Wright graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 13 4-3 outside linebacker this season.

Seahawks SLB K.J. Wright (foot surgery) is "on schedule, if not ahead" in his rehab. The word comes via coach Pete Carroll. The Seahawks have opted not to place Wright on injured reserve, but short of a Seahawks berth in the Super Bowl, he's not expected to see the field again this season.
