Vickerson was released by the Jets on Wednesday, Seth Walder of The New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vickerson signed a one-year contract with the Jets in March after playing 10 games with the Chiefs in 2014, but he was never able to make it on the field with his new club, suffering a hamstring injury that ultimately landed him on injured reserve in the beginning of Sept. He could catch on with another team and provide some depth along the defensive line if he returns healthy.

Vickerson (calf) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Broncos. With just seven tackles in 10 games to date, Vickerson's availability is of more import to the Chiefs' defensive line depth than it is to fantasy owners.

Vickerson (calf) will not practice Wednesday, Adam Teicher of ESPN reports. Vickerson's injury likely originated in Thursday's game against the Raiders, where he contributed by batting down a pass. The 31-year-old's status for Sunday's games against the Broncos is unclear at this point.

Vickerson signed with the Chiefs on Monday night, the Kansas City Star reports. Vickerson was released by the Broncos at the end of preseason after a hamstring injury slowed him. He has now found work with the Chiefs along the defensive line, where Mike DeVito went down for the season in Week 1. It's possible Vickerson will compete for playing time immediately.

Vickerson was released by the Broncos on Saturday, the Associated Press reports. Vickerson was slowed in training camp due to the dislocated hip that he suffered late last season. The nine-year veteran lost out in the defensive line rotation to offseason pickup Marvin Austin.

Broncos DT Kevin Vickerson (hip) is questionable for the start of training camp. Vickerson has been slow to recover from his dislocated hip and is sitting out OTAs. He doesn't have a set timetable to resume football activities, but his Week 1 status isn't in doubt. Vickerson stared 11 games prior to going down last year and will return in a rotation with Terrance Knighton and Sylvester Williams.

Broncos DT Kevin Vickerson (hip) said he "should be" ready for OTAs. Vickerson dislocated his hip after starting the first 11 games of this past season. He's a valuable run-stopping cog in the middle of the Broncos' defensive line and has one year left on his contract. Vickerson should be back to rotate with Terrance Knighton and Sylvester Williams at defensive tackle.

Broncos will place DT Kevin Vickerson (hip) on injured reserve, ending his season. The Broncos can't afford to wait on Vickerson in the hopes his dislocated hip will heal in time for the playoffs. Instead, they'll use Sylvester Williams and Mitch Unrein next to Terrance Knighton and sign a body for defensive tackle depth. Vickerson will head to free agency with 22 tackles and one sack in 11 games. He graded out as ProFootballFocus' No. 61 nose/defensive tackle among 70 qualifiers.
