Wright (hamstring) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday, the Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Mike Mularkey indicated last week that Wright needs to get in three good hard practices in order to be ready to resume game action, so while the wideout has a chance to return to the lineup Sunday against the Raiders, such an outcome is hardly a lock.

Both ESPN's Paul Kuharsky and Jim Wyatt of Titans Online report that Wright (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game against the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
Per Kuharsky's report, coach Mike Mularkey indicates that Wright needs to get in three good hard practices in order to be ready for game action and that's something that Wright is hoping occurs next week. With Wright still hobbled, Tajae Sharpe will look to build off his seven-catch effort in Week 1, with Rishard Matthews, Andre Johnson and Harry Douglas also in the mix for the Titans' wideout targets Sunday.

Though Wright (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday on a limited basis, coach Mike Mularkey indicated that the wideout is unlikely to play against the Lions on Sunday, the Tennessean reports. "We're probably not going to have Kendall back," Mularkey acknowledged Wednesday. "I'm hoping he progresses each day...I need to see really a good full week of Kendall before I put him out on the field."
EDGE Analysis
Assuming no setbacks in the wake of Wednesday's session, look for Wright to continue to practice on a limited basis Thursday, after which Friday's injury report figures to add further clarity with regard to Wright's Week 2 status.

Head coach Mike Mularkey said Wright (hamstring) is probably a week away from returning, Jim Wyatt of Titans Online reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Wright expected to miss a second straight game to begin the season, Harry Douglas and Andre Johnson will likely continue to pick up some extra snaps Sunday in Detroit. While neither veteran impressed in the opener, it is possible Johnson and/or Douglas could push Wright for playing time when he's healthy. Tajae Sharpe comfortably led the Tennessee wideout group in Week 1 snaps (64), targets (11), catches (seven) and receiving yards (76), whereas Johnson, Douglas and Rishard Matthews each played fewer than 40 snaps and had no more than seven targets.

Wright is inactive Sunday versus the Vikings, the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The designation was a certainty, as head coach Mike Mularkey had already ruled out his receiver on Friday. Wright remains without a firm timetable for return, and given the lingering nature of soft tissue injuries, could well be saddled with the designation for several more weeks to come.

Head coach Mike Mularkey said Wright (hamstring) will not play in Sunday's game against the Vikings, Titan Insider's Terry McCormick reports.
EDGE Analysis
Furthermore, Mularkey said Wright doesn't have a timetable to return, suggesting the wideout could be sidelined for multiple weeks. The veteran receiver missed most of training camp with a hamstring injury, then immediately aggravated the issue when he returned to practice in late August. Even if he were healthy, Wright would likely just be the No. 3 wide receiver, behind Rishard Matthews and Tajae Sharpe.

Wright (hamstring) did some running off to the side at Monday's practice, John Glennon of The Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright returned from an extended absence for last Monday's practice, only to re-injure his troublesome hamstring almost immediately. Making matters wore, he came down with a high fever the next morning, potentially slowing down the recovery process. Another update is expected Wednesday, when the Titans will release their first injury report of the season. If available, Wright will likely serve as the No. 3 wideout Week 1 against the Vikings. Rishard Matthews and Tajae Sharpe are expected to start on the outside, with Wright manning the slot in three-wide formations.

Wright (hamstring) had a high fever Tuesday, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The week is off to a terrible start for Wright, who returned to practice Monday for the first time in a month, only to aggravate the same injury that wiped out his training camp. He said Monday's aggravation was far less severe than the initial injury, but it's unclear if Wright's hamstring would have allowed him to practice Tuesday, as an illness prevented him from testing it out. Even if everything checks out before Week 1, the 26-year-old wideout only figures to serve as Tennessee's No. 3 wide receiver, primarily working out of the slot. Rishard Matthews and Tajae Sharpe are expected to start on the outside.

Wright (hamstring) said he still thinks he'll play Week 1 against the Vikings, Jim Wyatt of Titans Online reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright practiced with his teammates Monday for the first time in four weeks, only to re-injure his strained hamstring shortly into the day's session. He says that Monday's injury isn't nearly as bad as the first, but the fifth-year wideout still faces a tight timetable to make a full recovery for Week 1. Even if perfectly healthy, Wright will likely just be the No. 3 wide receiver, manning the slot in three-wide sets. Rishard Matthews and Tajae Sharpe are expected to start on the outside.

Wright re-injured his strained hamstring at Monday's practice, Jim Wyatt of Titans Online reports.
EDGE Analysis
Practicing with his teammates for the first time in four weeks, Wright suffered a setback that puts his Week 1 status in serious doubt. His absence probably wouldn't be that big of a deal for the Titans, as Wright is mostly just expected to work as the slot man in three-wide sets, with Rishard Matthews and Tajae Sharpe starting outside. The Titans could use some combination of Matthews, Sharpe and Andre Johnson out of the slot.
