Working primarily with the second team, all three of Wright's targets came from the hand of Jake Locker. Wright figures to see more work as the preseason progresses and is the favorite for slut duties once Week 1 rolls around.

Titans rookie WR Kendall Wright has been cleared to practice after sitting out June minicamp with a minor shoulder injury. The shoulder is a non-issue going forward. Wright continues to draw rave reviews in Titans camp. "He's got a great feel for the game," said Jake Locker. "When you watch him play, he didn't look like a rookie in OTAs ... It's things you can't teach a lot of times. It's things that are just instinctive and you have those instincts."

Titans OC Chris Palmer confirmed that he's counting on No. 20 overall pick Kendall Wright to play a major role in year one. "I've been fortunate in my career (to have coached) Andre Johnson, as a rookie, had 975 yards. Terry Glenn as a rookie, had 90 catches," Palmer said. "I felt good about those guys, and I feel good about Kendall, what he can do." Palmer added that he plans to play Wright in "several spots" around the offensive formation, and predicted that the first-rounder "is going to be a star in this league. ... He's got stardom written all over him."

Rotoworld ranks Wright as a top-50 fantasy receiver.

The Titans and unsigned first-round pick Kendall Wright have made "significant progress" on a contract, and could reach an agreement by Tuesday afternoon. With Kenny Britt recovering from knee surgery and likely facing a suspension following his latest arrest, it's essential the Titans get Wright into camp, and that he plays a full complement of preseason snaps.

Although Wright learned all three receiver positions during OTAs, he took the majority of his reps at split end -- Britt's position. Nate Washington is the Z (flanker), and Damian Williams the third receiver. Wright's current ADP is late in the 13th round.

The Titans plan to get Kendall Wright heavily involved "right off the bat," according to the Tennessean. Few rookies had a better offseason than Wright. He shined brightly in OTAs and minicamps, learned all three receiver positions and proved he could fill in for Kenny Britt (knee) if necessary. Wright will enter training camp with his engine already revving at full speed. There's a lot of upside here in the flier range of fantasy drafts.
