Bishop was added to the Cowboys roster Saturday.
He worked all week in practice with the second unit, and will offer depth at defensive tackle with Terrell McClain a little banged up.

Cowboys seventh-round DT Ken Bishop has been getting the majority of the snaps at nose tackle at OTAs.
Bishop was the 251st pick in last month's draft. He stands just 6-foot and 301 pounds and was dubbed a bit of a "tweener" coming out of Northern Illinois. The Cowboys have a number of options at three-technique defensive tackle, where Henry Melton is the favorite, but are holding a wide-open competition at the one-technique nose spot. Seven-year veteran Nick Hayden is another option.

Cowboys signed seventh-round DT Ken Bishop to a four-year contract.
Bishop, the 251st overall pick, is a strong, stocky three-technique. He enters a good situation in Dallas where the defensive line competition is wide open.

Cowboys selected Northern Illinois DT Ken Bishop with the No. 251 overall pick in the NFL draft.
A stock "tweener" one-slash-three technique at 6-foot 1/4 and 306 pounds, Bishop was a first-team All-MAC selection as a senior with the Huskies. He ran 5.21 at the NIU Pro Day and pumped 31 reps on the bench. Bishop isn't a high-ceiling NFL prospect, but he's entering a good situation in Dallas from a roster standpoint. The Cowboys have the weakest defensive line in the league.
