Cunningham was signed to the Rams' active roster Tuesday, Howard Balzer of FOX Sports reports. Cunningham is currently the fifth tight end on the Rams' active roster, making it unlikely he sees much work in the passing game. The 6-foot-3 product of South Carolina has just one catch for four yards in his NFL career.

Cunningham was placed on injured reserve Monday, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. There was no word of an injury afflicting the second-year tight end during the preseason, but the move opens up a 53-man roster spot for Case Keenum, who will act as the third quarterback to begin the 2014 campaign.

Cunningham has made the St. Louis roster, Howard Balzer of 590 The Zone reports. Cunningham proved his worth as a blocker in the four preseason games and will be forced into action should any of the top three tight ends get injured.

Rams signed TE Justice Cunningham, WR Emory Blake, DE Mason Brodine, OT Sean Hooey and CB Darren Woodard to reserve/future contracts. Cunningham was "Mr. Irrelevant" in this year's draft, going with the No. 254 overall - and final - pick to the Colts. He's yet to appear in an NFL game. Brodine appeared in two games for the 2011 Raiders. All five players will spend the offseason on the Rams' roster before likely getting cut in camp.

Colts signed TE Justice Cunningham to the practice squad. Cunningham was released on Monday and passed through waivers unclaimed. The 254th overall pick in April's draft, he was never a realistic candidate to make the 53-man roster. The Colts promoted TE Dominique Jones from the practice squad in a corresponding move.

Colts waived TE Justice Cunningham. The 254th overall pick in April's draft, Cunningham lost his roster spot when the Colts claimed Jack Doyle. Cunningham does have practice squad eligibility.

Colts agreed to terms with No. 254 overall pick TE Justice Cunningham on a four-year contract. Cunningham was this year's "Mr. Irrelevant," closing out the draft as the final pick. A pure blocker for Steve Spurrier's South Carolina Gamecocks, Cunningham is undersized for a blocking specialist (6-foot-3, 258 pounds), and painfully slow (4.94 40). He'll have to light up camp to earn a roster spot.
