The Raiders' offseason addition of Kenyan Drake could impact Jacobs' playing time, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs will still be the starter and lead ballcarrier, but Drake's two-year, $11 million contract hints at a larger role than what Devontae Booker handled last season as the No. 2 option out of the backfield. Booker, now with the Giants, averaged 5.1 carries and 1.3 targets in the 15 games both he and Jacobs played. Drake could get more work without negatively impacting Jacobs, but only if the Raiders improve their overall efficiency on offense, particularly in the running game. Jacobs averaged 3.9 yards per carry last season, ranking third in the league in carries (273) but only eighth in rushing yards (1,065). He was one of four players -- along with Derrick Henry, Dalvin Cook and Joe Mixon -- to average more than 18 carries per game.

Jacobs won't be charged with a DUI following a Jan. 4 arrest related to a single vehicle collision in Las Vegas, Nev., Glenn Puit of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs' legal woes aren't over, though, as he faces a misdemeanor count of failure to decrease speed or use due care under certain circumstances. Once the legal process works itself out -- he has a March court date on the docket -- the NFL could levy a punishment if he was deemed to violate the personal conduct policy. On the field this past season, Jacobs accounted for 1,303 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns on 273 carries and 33 catches (45 targets) in 15 games.

Jacobs was arrested Monday on a DUI charge relating to a single vehicle collision, Kevin Bolinger of FOX 5 Vegas reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated after the vehicular collision, per Bolinger. The second-year pro has since been released from both custody and the hospital, and he's been assigned with a March court appearance date. Based on the NFL's precedent of assigning punishments for DUI arrests, it's possible that Jacobs could face a short suspension during the 2021 season. He had 273 carries for 1,065 yards and 12 touchdowns through 15 games in 2020, while also securing 33 of 45 targets for 238 yards.

Jacobs carried the ball 15 times for 89 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 32-31 win over the Broncos. He failed to catch his only target.
EDGE Analysis
After gashing Denver for two TDs in their first meeting in Week 10, Jacobs repeated the feat in the season finale. The second-year back finished the campaign with 1,065 rushing yards and a career-high 12 touchdowns, but he dealt with nagging injuries once again and has yet to play a full 16-game schedule. Jacobs will head into 2021 at the top of the Raiders backfield depth chart.

Jacobs totaled 69 yards on 13 carries during Saturday's 26-25 loss to the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs took an IV Saturday, as he was not feeling well going into the game, according to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com. Jacobs had an opportunity to punch in a game-winning touchdown with two overtime carries inside the five-yard line during a Week 15 loss to the Chargers. Again against Miami, the 22-year-old came up short in a pair of short-yardage situations. A Jacobs first-quarter goal-line carry landed Las Vegas a yard short of a touchdown before Derek Carr scored on a QB sneak the following play. Meanwhile, a 4th-and-1 plunge from Las Vegas' own 47 with 8:36 to go in the third quarter lost one yard. Even so, Jacobs' opportunities remain ample as the powerful back has garnered 13-plus carries in seven of his past eight outings heading into a Week 17 road trip to Denver.

Jacobs rushed 26 times for 76 yards and a touchdown and secured all three targets for 38 yards in the Raiders' 30-27 overtime loss to the Chargers on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs not only came into the critical divisional clash for the Raiders dealing with a nagging ankle issue, but he exited the game late in the fourth quarter to have his knee tended to. However, the second-year workhorse quickly returned on the fourth play of Las Vegas' overtime-opening possession and logging six touches on a drive that culminated in a Daniel Carlson field goal. Jacobs' game-tying one-yard scoring leap in the third quarter served as his 10th touchdown of the season, while his yardage tally Thursday was his highest since Week 10 against the Broncos. He'll look to continue producing in a Week 16 battle versus the Dolphins on Saturday night, Dec. 26.

Jacobs (knee) has returned to Thursday's game against the Chargers, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs barely spent any time on the sideline, as he retook the field in the middle of Las Vegas' first drive of overtime. With the Raiders still fighting for a tentative playoff spot and in a must-win scenario, and Derek Carr (groin) already out, Jacobs' return to the field will no doubt be invaluable.

Jacobs (knee) is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Jacob left late in the fourth quarter, and he isn't on the field to begin overtime. The second-year pro was questionable for Thursday's tilt with an ankle issue, but he's now dealing with a knee injury. Devontae Booker stands to start out of the backfield if Jacobs can't return.

Jacobs (ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation for Thursday night's game against the Chargers, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs approached Week 14 action listed as questionable, but he suited up and recorded 29 (of a possible 68) snaps on offense in the Raiders' loss to the Colts, carrying 13 times for 49 yards and catching three of his five targets for 25 yards in the process. Though listed as a limited practice participant this week, Jacobs has been cleared to play Thursday and will once again head the Raiders backfield against a Chargers defense that has allowed an average of 120.0 rushing yards per game to date.

Jacobs (ankle) was limited at Tuesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
For a second consecutive day, the Raiders listed Jacobs as limited, only this time they held him out of practice. The team seems to be managing his reps with a short turnaround between games, but Wednesday's injury report may still leave the running back as a question mark for Thursday's game versus the Chargers. While Jacobs played through his ankle issue this past Sunday against the Colts, he logged a season-low share of the offensive snaps (43 percent) en route to 16 touches for 74 yards from scrimmage and no TDs.
