The Raiders are still expected to have Jacobs (shoulder) available for Sunday's game in Denver, even though the rookie underwent a procedure Christmas Day to address an apparent lower leg injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs broke the news of his procedure early Thursday via his personal Instagram account before later deleting the post, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic. The running back has been contending with a fractured right shoulder since the Raiders' Week 7 loss to the Packers and has missed two of the team's last three games because of it, but since bandages were spotted on his lower leg in the Instagram post, his procedure appears to be unrelated to the shoulder. The Raiders are expected to provide more clarity on Jacobs' situation later Thursday, but with the 7-8 squad still technically alive for a playoff spot, the 21-year-old looks like he's tentatively planning to try playing this weekend.

Jacobs posted on his Instagram page late Wednesday night that he underwent an unspecified procedure, Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle, the running back -- whose post included an image of his lower/leg foot wrapped in a bandage -- relayed that his procedure "went great." Jacobs missed the Raiders' Week 16 win over the Chargers due to a shoulder injury that he's been dealing with/managing since Oct. 20. That ongoing issue, plus Wednesday's post, which requires further context, obviously clouds Jacobs' status for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Broncos.

Jacobs (shoulder) reported on his Instagram account that he had surgery Wednesday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Details aren't available at this point, but presumably this was on his injured shoulder. If so, that would obviously take him out of consideration for playing in Week 17.

Jacobs (shoulder/illness) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs, who sat out the Week 16 win over the Chargers due to a shoulder injury, is also tending to a second concern heading into Sunday's season finale against the Broncos. Once the Raiders return to the field Thursday, fantasy managers should have a better sense of Jacobs' chances of returning to action this weekend.

Jacobs (shoulder) participated in Tuesday's walkthrough, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Absent two of the past three games due to a fractured right shoulder plate, Jacobs appears to be putting himself on a path to another appearance before the end of the regular season. Considering the Raiders still have a chance to make the playoffs, however faint it may be, the team would behoove itself by trotting out its optimal offense Week 17. Ultimately, though, Jacobs' activity level the next few days will go a long way toward Oakland's decision-making process. DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard are on hand in the event Jacobs again is unavailable to the backfield.

Coach Jon Gruden said Jacobs (shoulder) may be ready for the Raiders' season finale against the Broncos, Jerry McDonald of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs has missed two of the last three games due to a fractured shoulder, but he handled bell-cow duties despite the injury in Week 15's loss to the Jaguars, rushing 24 times for 89 yards and catching two passes for 20 yards. The Raiders haven't been eliminated from playoff contention yet, so the rookie first-round pick's presence obviously would increase their chances of securing the final spot. Jacobs' practice status will be monitored throughout the upcoming week. If he's ultimately ruled out, DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard will handle the backfield again.

Coach Jon Gruden said Wednesday that Jacobs (shoulder) won't play Sunday against the Chargers, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per Vic Tafur of The Athletic, the Raiders will give Jacobs a chance to rest his fractured right shoulder this week, then see if the running back can give it a go in the Dec. 29 season finale against the Broncos. With Jacobs out of the mix for the second time in three weeks, DeAndre Washington is expected to headline the Raiders' rushing attack, with Jalen Richard on hand to work in a complementary role.

Coach Jon Gruden acknowledged Monday that Jacobs -- who has been dealing with a shoulder injury since Week 7 -- had a hard time taking off his shoulder pads after Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
Gruden praised the running back's toughness, while suggesting that the status of Jacobs for the coming weeks will continue be in some question. That's not to say that the 6-8 Raiders are inclined to shut Jacobs down, but he'll need to be monitored closely during practice in the coming days to see if his shoulder rebounds well enough for him to play this coming weekend against the Chargers. For now, consider Jacobs -- who carried 24 times for 89 yards and caught two of three targets for 20 yards against Jacksonville -- questionable for Week 16 action.

Jacobs carried the ball 24 times for 89 yards and caught two of three targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
After missing last week's loss to the Titans with a shoulder issue, Jacobs saw his usual workload in his return to the lineup and topped 100 scrimmage yards for the ninth time in 13 games. The rookie hasn't found the end zone since Week 10 against the Chargers, but he'll get a chance to end the drought when the two teams meet for the second time next Sunday.

Jacobs (shoulder) is active for Sunday's Week 15 tilt against the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs had predicted he'd be ready to go earlier in the week, and this validates the rookie's pledge. He'll be locked into a premium matchup versus a Jaguars defense that's been shockingly poor against the run this season, allowing 22.7 fantasy points per game to running backs (third most) in standard scoring formats. Jacobs is expected to play without any specific limitations, sending both Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington back into complementary roles.
