Coach Jon Gruden said Monday that Jacobs (toe/ankle) is day-to-day and "very questionable" to face the Dolphins in Week 3, Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs wasn't able to suit up against the Steelers in Week 2, and it looks like he's no lock to return to full health in time to face Miami. Kenyan Drake was out-carried by Peyton Barber in Jacobs' absence Sunday, but neither running back managed much in the way of efficiency on the ground against Pittsburgh's stout defensive front.

Jacobs (toe/ankle) won't play in Week 2 against the Steelers, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs looked noticeably hobbled at times in Monday's win over the Ravens but still managed to rumble for two touchdowns. Rather than continue to gut it out, Jacobs will get a week off to heal in hopes of returning closer to full health before the Raiders host the Dolphins in Week 3. Kenyan Drake could be in line for a three-down role Sunday, with Peyton Barber spelling him on early downs and the possibility of a Trey Ragas sighting or two.

Jacobs (toe/ankle) wasn't spotted at the start of Friday's practice, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
We'll circle back on Jacobs' status once his official Week 2 injury designation is revealed, but if he's out or limited Sunday against the Steelers, Kenyan Drake would be in line to see added opportunities in the Raiders' backfield, with Peyton Barber (and perhaps Trey Ragas) also in the mix.

Jacobs (toe/ankle) wasn't present for Thursday's practice, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs' absence from the Raiders' first Week 2 practice Wednesday wasn't a major surprise after he played 45 snaps two days earlier in the team's overtime win over the Ravens, but a second straight day of no practice participation suddenly raises more concern about his availability for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh. The Raiders will see what Jacobs is able to do at Friday's practice before determining whether he'll carry a designation into the weekend. Kenyan Drake would be the next man up as the Raiders' top option on the ground if Jacobs ends up sitting Sunday.

Jacobs didn't practice Wednesday due to toe and ankle injuries, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs' exclusion from practice isn't too surprising, with the Raiders having played Monday and the running back having previously suggested that he may have some maintenance days on certain Wednesdays. Still, Tafur notes that Jacobs is banged up at this stage of the week, making his status worth monitoring as Sunday's game against the Steelers approaches. Wednesday's session was a walk-through, so what Jacobs is able to do Thursday should provide better hint about his Week 2 status.

Jacobs rushed 10 times for 34 yards and two touchdowns in Monday night's 33-27 overtime win against the Ravens. He also caught one of two targets for six yards.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs suited up after dealing with a toe injury and illness prior to Week 1. Although he looked a little banged up early, the tailback showed great perseverance to ultimately score twice. His first touchdown came on a two-yard plunge in the first half, then Jacobs tied the game with an impressive 15-yard end-zone trip in the fourth quarter. Despite teammate Kenyan Drake outgaining Jacobs with 70 yards on his 11 touches, neither runner could get much going on the ground against a swarming Ravens defense. Nonetheless, Jacobs provided the necessary scoring punch when required, starting his season on a strong note.

Jacobs (illness) is active for Monday's game against the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs tended to a toe injury during Week 1 prep, but despite logging limited sessions he was cleared on the Raiders' last practice report Saturday. He proceeded to come down with an illness Sunday, spurring the team to place a questionable tag on the running back. Fortunately for fantasy managers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday that Jacobs was in line to suit up in the opener, and he'll do just that. With Kenyan Drake on the roster, however, it remains to be seen how much work Jacobs can expect due to his recent health concerns.

Jacobs (illness) is trending toward playing Monday against the Ravens, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Confirmation likely won't surface until shortly before kickoff, but Jacobs is more likely to suit up than not. How much he'll contribute, if healthy, is another story, making Kenyan Drake an arguably safer fantasy play given the newcomer's health and expected pass-catching contributions.

Jacobs (illness) has been downgraded to questionable for Monday's game against the Ravens, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs was cleared of a toe injury Saturday, but his status has been thrown back in doubt due to an illness. If the Raiders' early down workhorse is unable to suit up Monday, offseason additions Kenyan Drake and Peyton Barber would split carries in Vegas' backfield, with Drake likely taking on the lead role. A final verdict on Jacobs' status likely won't come down until shortly prior to kickoff.

Jacobs (toe) wasn't listed on the team's final injury report ahead of Monday's contest against the Ravens, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite logging his third straight limited practice, Jacobs will nevertheless enter Week 1 deemed completely healthy. It wouldn't be surprising if the 2019 first-round pick routinely has a similar sort of practice cadence in ensuing weeks to maintain health for the balky toe injury, which he suffered toward the end of August.
