Interim head coach Rich Bisaccia said Jacobs sustained a chest contusion in Sunday's 33-22 win over the Eagles, but the running back is expected to be fine for the Raiders' next game Nov. 7 against the Giants, Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though the injury knocked him out of the Raiders' Week 7 game early, Jacobs likely would have stood a good chance at playing next weekend, if Las Vegas had a game. Instead, Jacobs will benefit from an extra week of rest with the Raiders on bye Week 8, which should put him in strong position to practice fully in advance of the matchup with the Giants. Jacobs at least rewarded fantasy managers with a touchdown before his early departure against the Eagles while also chipping in 68 yards from scrimmage on nine touches (six carries, three catches).

Jacobs (chest) likely avoided a serious injury in Sunday's game against the Eagles, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Raiders have a well-timed Week 8 bye, which will give the banged-up Jacobs extra time to heal up after he exited Sunday's 33-22 win early. Jacobs battled toe and ankle injuries early in the season, but he has gotten on a roll lately and extended his touchdown streak to three games prior to hurting his chest against Philly.

Jacobs exited Sunday's game against the Eagles with a chest injury.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to departing the contest, Jacobs logged six carries for 29 yards and a TD and caught three passes for 39 yards. With Peyton Barber inactive Sunday, Kenyan Drake is next up for the Raiders' carries, with Jalen Richard on hand for change-of-pace looks.

Jacobs ran for 53 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries while catching his only target for 29 yards against Denver on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs was somewhat plodding in the ground game with just 3.3 yards per carry, but he provided a steadying presence for the Raiders as they protected a lead for most of the game. The 29-yard reception is hopefully a good omen for Jacobs' rushing efficiency in upcoming games, because he has generally struggled from scrimmage through four games (3.2 yards per carry, 5.5 yards per target). Jacobs' investors will hope he can maintain his touchdown production going forward, though hopefully with more yardage to show. He gets the Eagles in Week 7.

Jacobs (illness) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Broncos after returning to a limited practice Friday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs missed Thursday's practice session, but the running back's limited participation Friday and subsequent final listing on the Raiders' Week 6 injury report sets the stage for him to head the team's rushing attack this weekend against a stout Denver defense that has allowed an average of 85.4 rushing yards to date. Meanwhile, Peyton Barber (toe) is available to spell Jacobs in early down situations Sunday, while Kenyan Drake and possibly Jalen Richard are slated to work in change-of-pace roles versus the Broncos.

Jacobs (illness) made an appearance at Friday's practice, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Initially, Jacobs wasn't present at the start of the media portion of the session, per Reed, but the running back appears as if he'll get into some drills. Jacobs showed up on Thursday's practice report as a non-participant due to an illness, so it'll be interesting to see how he's listed Friday, both in terms of activity level and for Sunday's game at Denver.

Jacobs (illness) didn't practice Friday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
In a rarity this season, Jacobs didn't appear on the first injury report of Week 6 prep, only to show up as a non-participant Thursday due to an illness. The ailment is keeping him out of drills for a second straight session Friday, so it remains to be seen how the Raiders will list him for Sunday's contest at Denver. Another absence for Jacobs likely would result in Peyton Barber handling most of the early down work out of the backfield, while Kenyan Drake and Jalen Richard would be poised for more snaps than usual.

Jacobs didn't practice Thursday due to an illness, Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs just can't avoid the injury report this season. While he avoided it entirely Wednesday, he made yet another appearance Thursday, only this time for non-injury reasons. It's unclear whether the illness is related to COVID-19, but his status should be watched closely to get a sense of his potential to play Sunday at Denver. If Jacobs sits out for the third time this season, Peyton Barber likely would got most of the work on early downs, with Kenyan Drake and Jalen Richard serving as change-of-pace options out of the Raiders backfield.

Jacobs rushed 15 times for 48 yards and a touchdown and brought in four of five targets for 19 yards in the Raiders' 20-9 loss to the Bears on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs was once again the unequivocal lead back, but for the third time in as many contests this season, his overall rushing touches were limited by game script. The third-year back was able to give his overall fantasy numbers a nice boost by finding the end zone from one yard out early in the fourth quarter, his first touchdown since Week 1. The 15 carries Jacobs saw qualified as a season high, and he'll perhaps have even more opportunity on the ground in a Week 6 road matchup against the Broncos.

Jacobs (ankle) practiced fully Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Jacobs was limited Wednesday, but his return to a full session Thursday paves the way for him to continue to head the Raiders' backfield Sunday against the Bears. With fellow RB Peyton Barber sidelined by a toe injury and change-of-pace back Kenyan Drake having logged limited touches in Week 4, Jacobs figures to be busy this weekend against a Chicago defense that has allowed an average of 112.0 rushing yards per game to date.
