Josh Freeman (shoulder) is practicing fully this week. Freeman acknowledged that he played through discomfort in the shoulder last week. His velocity was noticeably down against the Jaguars as well. Even against Dallas' leaky secondary, Freeman is a low-end QB2 option for Week 15.

The St. Petersburg Times' Stephen Holder reports Josh Freeman came out of Sunday's loss "fairly intact," but that he's believed to be dealing with a deep tissue bruise in his ailing shoulder. Freeman said he was without his normal velocity against the Jaguars, and this would certainly be a reason why. Freeman had arguably his worst start of a disappointing season Sunday, and if he doesn't get significantly healthier during the week, there's a good chance Tampa will decide to protect its franchise quarterback and go with Josh Johnson under center in Week 15.

Josh Freeman acknowledged Sunday evening that he played through discomfort in his injured throwing shoulder during the Bucs' Week 14 loss to Jacksonville. Freeman said he especially felt the pain during stoppages, such as timeouts and defensive series when the adrenaline wore off. "Obviously, he didn't play well," coach Raheem Morris said afterwards. "But you put him out there. You've got to play him. He was healthy. We make no excuses about it. He took a couple (hits) and was able to get back up."

Josh Freeman is active for Sunday's game against the Jaguars and will start. We'd be a bit concerned about Freeman's effectiveness and capability of lasting four quarters after his late-week shoulder setback. He'll be a dicey two-QB league play. The Bucs' Week 14 inactives are CB Aqib Talib, QB Rudy Carpenter, WR Sammie Stroughter, S Larry Asante, DE Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, T Derek Hardman, and T James Lee. E.J. Biggers will start in Talib's place.

Josh Freeman (questionable, shoulder) experienced a ''minor setback'' in Friday's practice, according to Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times. Freeman was unable to finish practice after experiencing pain in his right throwing shoulder and is considered a game-time decision. The Jaguars currently have Ashton Youboty and Kevin Rutland as their starting corners so it's potentially a startable matchup for Josh Johnson if Freeman is ruled inactive. Johnson totaled 274 yards and a touchdown in last week's game against Carolina.

Josh Freeman (questionable, shoulder) was limited in Friday's practice, but is expected to start against the Jaguars in Week 14. The Bucs' website points out that Freeman threw "extensively" on both Thursday and Friday, taking a "significant amount" of first-team snaps in today's practice. "He's done a great job," said coach Raheem Morris. "He went out there and practiced today and looked good. He threw the ball a lot more."

Josh Freeman (shoulder) was limited again in Thursday's practice. Freeman was back in the pocket Thursday, throwing extensively in first-team offensive drills for the first time in nearly two weeks. Coach Raheem Morris agreed that it was Freeman's most significant progress since the injury. "You'd have to say that," added Morris. "He went out there and threw the ball, was pretty productive. He felt pretty good." The Bucs want to see how Freeman feels Friday morning, but he's on track to start against the Jaguars.

The Tampa Tribune expects Josh Freeman (shoulder) to start against the Jaguars on Sunday. Freeman was warming up his throwing arm before Thursday's practice, which is more than he did at this point last week. He's not going to be close to 100 percent, but neither is Jacksonville's injury-depleted secondary.

Josh Freeman (shoulder) said he remains day to day. Freeman has only done light tossing since injuring his throwing shoulder. It's unclear if he'll be allowed to cut it loose today. "It's just bruised all around," Freeman said. "I don't think there's anything too serious on the MRI. It's really just taking it day to day."
