Downs (hamstring) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The wideout left last Thursday's practice with a hamstring injury, and given his continued absence, Downs seems unlikely to see any action in Saturday's preseason finale against the Bengals. When he's healthy, Downs is key contributor in a Colts WR corps that also features Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce.

Downs (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, the Indianapolis Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Downs left practice Aug. 14 with a hamstring injury and didn't play in Saturday's preseason game. He's unlikely to play in Indy's final preseason game, so the severity of the injury may not become more clear until practice next week ahead of the start of the regular season.

Downs (hamstring) did not play in Thursday's preseason loss to Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Downs left Thursday's practice with a hamstring injury. It's not surprising that he didn't play in the game as a result, but the severity of the injury still isn't clear. He was able to walk off under his own power when leaving practice Thursday.

Downs left Thursday's practice with a hamstring injury, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The report notes that Downs walked off under his own power, but the wideout's status for Saturday's preseason contest against the Packers nonetheless is worth monitoring. Consider Downs day-to-day for now.

Downs and most other veteran starters didn't play in Thursday's 24-16 preseason loss at Baltimore.
EDGE Analysis
Fellow wideouts Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce also were rested, leaving Adonai Mitchell, Ashton Dulin, Anthony Gould and rookie tight end Tyler Warren as the the top targets for QB Anthony Richardson, who left the game after a handful of snaps due to a finger dislocation on his throwing hand. Richardson should be fine by Week 1, but the QB situation remains a major concern for Downs' fantasy value after his 2024 production was heavily concentrated in the games Joe Flacco played. Daniel Jones, for all his flaws, is a better bet than Richardson to support fantasy-viable pass catchers -- and especially receivers that rely on short-area targets, like Downs and Pittman. The Colts may give their starters some run in the second or third preseason game, although it's unclear if Richardson or Jones will take the QB reps.

Downs caught 10 of 13 passes for 94 yards in Sunday's 26-23 overtime win over the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
The catches and targets were season highs for Downs, who led the Colts in receiving in Week 18, while the yardage total was his second-highest of 2024. The second-year wideout saw a modest increase on his rookie production, posting a 72-803-5 line on 107 targets over 14 games this year, and while he flashed his talent on a consistent basis, his ceiling was limited by the erratic quarterbacking of Anthony Richardson (back). Downs could have a true breakout in 2025, but it would likely require Richardson to take a big step forward as well.

Downs caught three of four targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 45-33 loss to the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Downs reeled in just three passes for the fourth straight game, as the 23-year-old wideout has failed to produce consistently for fantasy purposes. Downs played 47 of the Colts' 77 offensive snaps Sunday, operating in his No. 3 wide receiver role behind Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce. The North Carolina product will look to bounce back in the season finale when the Colts visit the Jaguars in Week 18.

Downs brought in three of four targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 38-30 win over the Titans on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
On an afternoon when Anthony Richardson attempted just 11 passes and finished with a modest 131 yards through the air, Downs' reception, receiving yardage and target totals were all team highs. The second-year wideout also recorded his fifth touchdown grab of the season on a nifty 27-yard catch and run late in the second quarter on which he successfully tiptoed the right sideline on his way to the end zone. Downs' production, along with that of the rest of Indianapolis' pass catchers, remains hard to trust with Richardson under center, but the talented receiver still carries upside on paper against a vulnerable Giants secondary on the road in Week 17.

Downs (shoulder) caught three of eight targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Downs has just 59 receiving yards over his last two appearances, sandwiched around a one-game absence due to a shoulder injury. He had at least 60 yards in seven of his last eight games prior to this downturn, though much of that stretch came with Joe Flacco under center rather than the erratic Anthony Richardson, who threw for only 172 yards in the loss to Denver. Downs will look to get back on track in Week 16 against the Titans.

Downs (shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Downs missed the Colts' win over the Patriots in Week 13, but following the team's subsequent bye he was able to practice fully Thursday and Friday before being listed as questionable to face Denver. With his Week 15 active status confirmed, Downs should reclaim his key role in a wideout corps that also features Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce, with Adonai Mitchell and Anthony Gould available to mix in. In 10 games thus far, Downs has compiled a 53/594/4 receiving line on 78 targets, a pace that keeps him on the fantasy radar for the NFL stretch run.
