Fauria is attempting a comeback this season, Alex Marvez of SportingNews.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old tight end who took the league by storm in 2013 for his creative touchdown celebrations will now look to find his way back onto a 53-man roster in 2017. "I'm trying my best," Fauria said. "Last year didn't go as planned. I didn't get any tryouts, but I have my head on straight now. I'm in good shape. I'm ready to go. I just want one more chance." He only totaled 18 receptions in 2013 but seven of them were for scores, creating a name for himself in fantasy leagues across the country. The 6-foot-7 target has the size and experience, but his three-year absence from the league may be too much to overcome.

Fauria has joined the Patriots' practice squad, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 6-foot-7, 267-pounder displayed some red zone prowess as a rookie with the Lions in 2013, but at this stage, he's merely insurance for the Patriots in the event of an injury to one of the team's currently-rostered tight ends: Rob Gronkowski, Scott Chandler or Michael Williams.

Fauria was released by the Cardinals on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The Cardinals dropped Fauria from the 53-man roster in order to make room for running back Kerwynn Williams, who was added from the practice squad with the impending absence of Andre Ellington for Sunday's game against the Bears. Fauria was inactive for the Cardinals' Week 1 win over the Saints.

Fauria signed with the Cardinals on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Cardinals are down a tight end, after Ifeanyi Momah suffered a torn meniscus in Tuesday's practice, according to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports 1. Fauria himself was one of the Lions' final cuts over the weekend, and if he sticks around, the 6-foot-7 tight end will provide the Cardinals with a towering red-zone threat.

Fauria was released by the Lions on Saturday, ESPN's Field Yates reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fauria's fate was essentially sealed when the Lions traded for Tim Wright. Despite scoring on seven of his 18 receptions in 2013, the 6-7 Fauria was unable to claim a consistent role in the Detroit offense, stuck behind Eric Ebron and Brandon Pettigrew.

Fauria's future with the Lions is in doubt following the team's trade for Tim Wright, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Jim Caldwell declined to comment on the team's acquisition of Wright and said that Fauria is "in the thick of competing." Fauria reeled in seven touchdown receptions in 2013, but saw his total targets decrease from 30 in 2013 to 12 last season. It is not unusual for a team to carry four tight ends provided one plays a H-Back/fullback role, but the Lions are expected to carry a traditional fullback - making that scenario less likely. As Wright goes through his physical and adjusts to the team, expect for the Lions to dangle the 6-foot-7 Fauria as a red zone threat worth trading for, cutting him if they can't find a buyer.

Fauria (ankle) was able to participate in portions of Tuesday's practice, Kyle Meinke of MLive Media Group reports. Fauria had his 2014 season end prematurely with an ankle injury but his availability in Tuesday's practice suggests that he'll be ready for the start of the 2015 season. However, he's currently buried on the depth chart behind Brandon Pettigrew and Eric Ebron and will struggle to get playing time even when healthy.

Fauria did not require offseason ankle surgery, the Detroit Free Press reports. Fauria's landed on injured reserve in December due to an ankle injury, but apparently the issue wasn't severe enough to require surgery. Now healthy, Fauria will hope for a bounce-back third season, although the presence of fellow tight ends Brandon Pettigrew and Eric Ebron may still cloud his weekly outlook.

Fauria (ankle) has been placed on IR by the Lions, the Detroit Free Press reports. With Fauria out for the season, the Lions signed fellow TE Kellen Davis to provide depth behind Brandon Pettigrew and Eric Ebron. Fauria (who found the end zone seven times in 2013) thus finishes the 2014 season with just six catches for 74 yards and one TD in seven games.

Fauria had two catches for 17 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-17 win over the Buccaneers. Fauria was announced as a surprise starter before the game, although he wasn't actually on the field for the Lions' first offensive play. Nonetheless, he still snagged a 10-yard touchdown, and his size makes him an appealing red-zone target for Matthew Stafford. Make no mistake though, the Lions' tight end spot is not a place of fantasy prosperity, and Fauria's value remains limited to very deep formats.
