Mason (hamstring) was active in Saturday's 37-20 win over the Commanders, but he did not receive a carry and logged snaps only on special teams.
EDGE Analysis
Mason's hamstring tightened up during practice this week, but he was ultimately cleared before kickoff. Fellow rookie Tyrion Davis-Price -- who was a healthy scratch for the last two weeks -- took over the backup duties behind Christian McCaffrey and finished with 30 yards on nine carries. Perhaps the decision to limit Mason to special teams was a direct result of him missing practice this week due to injury. The Georgia Tech product was excelling at spelling McCaffrey prior to this unexpected shakeup, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him reclaim that role against the Raiders on Jan. 1.

Mason (hamstring) is listed as active Saturday against the Commanders, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason's hamstring tightened up at Wednesday's practice, which resulted in his early departure from that session and limited on-field work Thursday. He subsequently went down as questionable for Week 16 action, but he again will be available to the 49ers offense as Christian McCaffrey's direct backup. Mason has experienced a regular role over the last five games, racking up 32 carries for 210 yards (6.6 YPC).

Mason (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Saturday's contest versus the Commanders, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
A late-week addition to the 49ers' injury report, Mason relayed to David Lombardi of The Athletic on Thursday that his hamstring tightened up at Wednesday's practice, which resulted in him being removed from that session and ultimately going down as a limited participant to end Week 16 prep. If Mason isn't 100 percent or out Saturday, Tyrion Davis-Price and/or practice squad member Tevin Coleman would be the main candidates to get work behind the 49ers' No. 1 running back Christian McCaffrey.

Mason rushed four times for 64 yards in Thursday's 21-13 win over the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Mason ripped off a 55-yard run on the 49ers' final drive, stopped one yard short of his first career touchdown. The undrafted rookie actually saw his playing time decrease against Seattle (seven offensive snaps), but he still produced at least 50 rushing yards for the third consecutive week. It is tough to recommend the Georgia Tech product in fantasy when Christian McCaffrey is healthy, but if the latter were to be rested with the NFC West title in hand, then Mason would immediately become a hot asset. For now, expect Mason to serve a similar limited role against Washington next Saturday.

Mason rushed 11 times for 56 yards and was not targeted in Sunday's 35-7 win over the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
Mason followed up last week's career high in rushing with another new high-water mark in yards. The undrafted rookie absorbed nearly all of Elijah Mitchell's (knee) carries over the last two weeks, providing some low-end fantasy value for those in deeper formats. Mason still is the clear No. 2 behind workhorse Christian McCaffrey, who went for 153 combined yards and two touchdowns Sunday. Expect the Georgia Tech product to see a similar workload in a soft matchup against the Seahawks on Thursday.

Mason rushed eight times for 51 yards in Sunday's 33-17 win over the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Mason took on a larger offensive role sans Elijah Mitchell (knee) as expected, setting new career marks in carries and rushing yards. The Georgia Tech product looked sharp in limited action, putting his downhill running style on display. Christian McCaffrey still dominated the workload, producing 146 yards and a touchdown on 25 combined touches. CMC has a poor injury history and entered Sunday's contest with a balky knee, so Mason is worth stashing for fantasy managers with the luxury to do so. In his current role, the rookie tailback will find it hard to crack fantasy lineups against the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Mason rushed five times for 25 yards in Sunday's 13-0 win over the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
Mason was used on the final drive of the game with the 49ers up multiple scores for the second week in a row. Unlike last week's garbage time appearance against the Cardinals, the undrafted rookie was actually needed after No. 2 back Elijah Mitchell (knee) went down late in this contest. Starter Christian McCaffrey was dealing with knee soreness as well, but the former's is expected to be more serious. It sounds like Mitchell will be forced to miss some time again, and CMC doesn't have the build to handle a 20-plus touch workload, so Mason could step into a prominent backup role in head coach Kyle Shanahan's run-heavy offensive scheme. If that were to be the case, the Georgia Tech product should absorb a chunk of Mitchell's carries in next Sunday's showdown against the Dolphins.

Mason rushed four times for 14 yards in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Mason was able to finally get some offensive run in garbage time after serving exclusively on special teams this season. The carries and yardage both represented new highs for the undrafted rookie. Mason will resume seeing the majority of his snaps on special teams when the 49ers take on the Saints on Sunday.

Mason logged 19 snaps on special teams and was not used on offense in Sunday's 22-16 win over the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Mason returned to action after being deployed as a healthy scratch last game, effectively swapping spots on the depth chart with Tyrion Davis-Price (inactive). The 49ers welcomed back Elijah Mitchell (knee) to backup Christian McCaffrey this week, so the rookie wasn't asked to do more than serve on special teams. Mason carries no fantasy value heading into a Week 11 tilt against the Cardinals next Monday.

Mason (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Mason will sit for the first time this season after the team's acquisition of Christian McCaffrey. The undrafted rookie will likely need an injury to find himself on the active roster moving forward.
