Bears declared OT Jonathan Scott, WR Marquess Wilson, CB C.J. Wilson, RB Michael Ford, DE David Bass, DT Zach Minter and OT James Brown inactive for Week 2 against the Vikings. It's a quiet list for the Bears, who have yet to be bitten by the injury bug.

Bears re-signed OT Jonathan Scott and waived TE Kyle Adams. The Bears want Scott permanently on their 53-man roster to be the swing tackle behind LT Jermon Bushrod and RT Jordan Mills. They just didn't want to keep him around for Week 1 because Scott's full salary would've been guaranteed. Adams was a deep reserve tight end and special teamer.

Bears released OT Jonathan Scott and re-signed TE Kyle Adams. Scott beat out J'Marcus Webb for No. 4 tackle duties in Chicago, but his stay on the roster doesn't last long. It's possible the Bears are just cutting him ahead of Sunday's game to protect themselves from having to guarantee Scott's 2013 salary. Adams was waived by the Bears on Monday.

Bears re-signed OT Jonathan Scott to a one-year contract. Scott made seven ineffective starts last season. He's coming back as a swing tackle behind Jermon Bushrod and J'Marcus Webb. 30 years old, Scott does offer 35 games worth of NFL starting experience and can play both tackle spots.

Bears GM Phil Emery indicated the team plans to approach free agent OT Jonathan Scott about re-signing. Scott was signed shortly after the season started, and he was called upon to start the final five games at right tackle after Gabe Carimi was getting man-handled. Scott, 30, isn't a long-term answer, but he'd be fine in a reserve role. Finding capable starting tackles will be high on the Bears' priorities list.

Bears RT Jonathan Scott (probable, hamstring) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Lions. After missing Week 16, Scott returned to a full practice Friday and will continue to start at right tackle. His ascension to the starting lineup this season is more an indictment on 2011 first-round pick Gabe Carimi than it is a deserved promotion. He's predicatly struggled in passing blocking, and grades out negatively in all aspects by Pro Football Focus. The Bears will likely look to upgrade their offensive line in the offseason.

Bears RT Jonathan Scott was forced from Sunday's game in the second quarter with a hamstring injury. Gabe Carimi, who had been benched at right guard for Chris Spencer earlier in the quarter, will have to take over at right tackle. Carimi's ineffectiveness was the only reason Scott had been plugged into the starting lineup.

Bears signed OT Jonathan Scott and TE Dedrick Epps. The Bears were waiting until after Week 1 so they wouldn't have to guarantee Scott's contract. The ex-Steeler brings some veteran depth to the table as he has 29 career starts under his belt. J'Marcus Webb and Gabe Carimi are locked in as the Bears' starting tackles.

Free agent OT Jonathan Scott visited the Bears. Scott signed with the Lions in July, but was released with an injury settlement. He appeared in 12 games for the Steelers last season, starting five. He wouldn't be in line to start over J'Marcus Webb or Chris Williams in Chicago, but could see consistent reps if he's signed.

Lions placed OT Jonathan Scott on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury, ending his season. Scott was signed in July, but ended up missing the entire preseason. Scott appeared in 12 games for the Steelers last season, starting five, but was overwhelmed in pass protection. He's likely nearing the end of the line.
