Garibay now has competition for the Cowboys' kicking job following the team's signing of Lirim Hajrullahu, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Prior the move, Garibay, who signed with the Cowboys on May 2 after going undrafted in April, had been the team's only kicker. Now the Texas Tech product is in line to compete with the 32-year-old Hajrullahu, a former CFL player, who has four regular-season games (all in 2021) worth of NFL experience.

Garibay remains the only kicker on Cowboys roster at OTAs.

Garibay signed with the Cowboys on May 2 after going undrafted in April and he's been without any competition at kicker since Chris Naggar was cut May 13. He made all 15 of his field goal attempts under 50 yards and went 55-for-57 on PATs in his senior season at Texas Tech and now appears the favorite to earn the starting role with Dallas.
