Abram agreed to a contract with the Saints on Wednesday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
EDGE Analysis
In nine regular-season games with the Saints in 2023, the 2019 first-round draft pick recorded 26 tackles and one interception. By bringing back the 27-year-old, New Orleans' secondary maintains some needed depth following the offseason departures of Marcus Maye, Isaac Yiadom and Lonnie Johnson.

Abram finished the 2023 regular season with 26 tackles and one interception in nine appearances.
EDGE Analysis
Abram bounced back and forth between New Orleans' practice squad and active roster. While the majority of his playing time came on special teams this season, the 2019 first-round pick saw significant snaps on defense in four of his nine appearances, including when he played every defensive snap over the final two weeks of the regular season. Abram initially joined the Saints on a one-year deal in March, and he is set to become an unrestricted free agent this coming offseason.

Abram had five solo tackles, one pass defended, one interception and one forced fumble in Sunday's 23-13 win over the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
Both of Abram's turnovers occurred in the second half of Sunday's win. He jarred the ball out of Rachaad White's hands in the third quarter that led to a Saints' field goal seven plays later. Two possessions later, Abram picked off Baker Mayfield on a pass intended for David Moore. It was Abram's first start at strong safety since being signed to the active roster Nov. 30, and he played all 50 defensive snaps in Sunday's victory.

Abram signed with the Saints' 53-man roster from their practice squad Thursday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Abram had previously been elevated three times this season by New Orleans, although he hasn't suited up since Week 5 against the Patriots. With Marcus Maye (shoulder) questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions, the Saints have opted to bring Abram back to their active roster to strengthen their depth in the secondary.

Abram reverted to the Saints' practice squad Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Abram was elevated to the active roster with Jordan Howden (finger) ruled out. Abram took advantage of his second callup Sunday against the Buccaneers when he registered five tackles (one solo) while playing 52 defensive snaps and seven snaps on special teams. The 2019 first-round pick out of Mississippi State could be called up once more for Week 5 against the Patriots if Howden is unable to suit up.

Abram was released by the Saints on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Abram signed with New Orleans this offseason after stints with the Raiders, Packers and Seahawks. The 2019 first-round pick has appeared in 43 games throughout his four-year career, racking up 267 tackles, 14 pass breakups and three interceptions. If the 26-year-old clears waivers, the Saints are expected to add him to their practice squad.

Abram agreed to a contract with the Saints and is expected to sign with the team Wednesday following a physical, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
A first-round selection of the Raiders in the 2019 NFL Draft, Abram was cut loose by Las Vegas in November of last season and caught on with Green Bay and Seattle before the end of the campaign. Neither club sought to bring Abram back in free agency, but the veteran safety will get an opportunity to get his career back on track in New Orleans, where he'll likely fill a depth role in the secondary.

Seattle claimed Abram off waivers Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Abram was waived by the Packers on Tuesday after playing primarily on special teams across two appearances. However, the 2019 first-round pick quickly found a new home and will look to carve out a role in Seattle's secondary, which may be without Ryan Neal (elbow) for Week 13.

The Packers waived Abram on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Abram was claimed off waivers by the Packers on Nov. 9, and he ultimately saw game action on two occasions and recorded one tackle in each game. The fourth-year safety is now on the hunt for his next opportunity for playing time.

The Packers claimed Abram off waivers Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being surprisingly waived by Las Vegas on Tuesday, Abram has found another opportunity with a new team where he'll reunite with former Raiders interim coach and current Packers special-teams coach Rich Bisaccia. That may be where he'll see most of his opportunities at first, but he also eventually could find his way into Green Bay's secondary rotation with starter Darnell Savage having struggled somewhat as of late.
