Brown (quadriceps) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown has been a regular on the injury report since the season opener, with his sickle-cell trait impacting his quadriceps in the meantime. In his return to action Sunday versus the 49ers, he recorded three receptions for 47 yards, but his seven targets put him in a tie with Larry Fitzgerald behind Andre Ellington (14) and and Jaron Brown (12). Because Carson Palmer is outpacing the rest of the NFL by a long shot in terms of pass attempts with 183, (John) Brown shouldn't have an issue making marks in the box score, but active status will likely be a question mark each week due to health concerns.

Brown hauled in three of seven passes for 47 yards during Sunday's 18-15 overtime victory versus the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Brown returned from a two-game absence in Week 4, receiving 53 of 86 offensive snaps in the process. The workload ranked third behind Larry Fitzgerald and Jaron Brown (82 apiece) and ahead of J.J. Nelson (25), the latter of whom was limited in each practice in advance of Sunday's contest. Afterward, (John) Brown said he felt "pretty good," per Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com. Because (Jaron) Brown has fared so well in a near every-down role, the Cardinals may stick with the status quo in order to keep (John) Brown and Nelson as healthy as possible. No matter how head coach Bruce Arians proceeds with the receiving corps, (John) Brown is an iffy prospect weekly due to the potential for his sickle-cell trait to emerge at a moment's notice.

Brown (quadriceps) is active for Sunday's game versus the 49ers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
After practicing on a limited basis this past week, Brown has backed up head coach Bruce Arians' declaration that he'd return to action. However, during his two-game respite, Brown only practiced on a limited basis this past week. As a result, he's unlikely to supersede fellow wide receivers Larry Fitzgerald, Jaron Brown and potentially J.J. Nelson (hamstring) in terms of snap count, hindering his potential to rack up targets.

Brown (quad) is expected to play, but at less than 100 percent , so he's likely to be on a limited snap count, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports
EDGE Analysis
Brown has the speed to make a big play in limited work, but it's too risky to count on that if you have other viable options. We'd look elsewhere this week if possible.

Brown (quad) was a limited practice participant Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although Brown never quite made it back to a full practice, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said the wideout will be ready for Sunday's game. Arians didn't comment on J.J. Nelson (hamstring), who also was limited all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday. The Cardinals may limit Brown's snaps regardless of Nelson's health, perhaps hoping a lighter workload will allow Brown to finally stay on the field for more than a week or two.

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said Brown (quad) will play in Sunday's game against the 49ers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
After missing practice the previous two weeks, Brown was a limited participant both Wednesday and Thursday. It isn't yet clear if he upgraded to full participation Friday, but the Cardinals apparently expect to have him back for a favorable matchup with San Francisco. It's quite possible Brown's snaps will be limited, considering he's struggled with both health and endurance the past couple years.

Brown (quadriceps) was a limited participant at Wednesday's walkthrough, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Cardinals didn't put in a true practice, so Brown's participation should be taken with a grain of salt. No matter, his listing on the injury report wasn't DNP for the first time since the regular-season opener, a span in which he tended to a quadriceps issue. With two more sessions remaining before Sunday's divisional matchup against the 49ers, Brown could begin trending in the direction of a return with limited or even full showings. If he's unable to receive the all-clear from the training staff, though, Jaron Brown and J.J. Nelson (hamstring) will continue to have high profiles behind Larry Fitzgerald in the passing attack.

Brown (quad) worked out on the field prior to Monday's 28-17 loss to the Cowboys, Mike Jurecki of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown didn't practice last week and was ruled out on Saturday's final injury report, but he was at least spotted doing some individual work Friday, Saturday and Monday. The modest step forward could set him up for a return to practice as the Cardinals prepare for a favorable Week 4 matchup against the 49ers. It's unclear how much of a role Brown will have once he returns, as his inability to stay healthy has been a source of frustration for coach Bruce Arians.

Brown (quad) will not play in Monday's game against the Cowboys, Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic repots.
EDGE Analysis
Brown was unable to practice for the second week in a row, so as was the case a week ago, he will not take the field with the rest of his teammates. Brown's absence should again open up opportunities for J.J. Nelson -- who is dealing with a sore hamstring this week -- and Jaron Brown.

Brown (quad) worked on the side during the media portion of Saturday's practice, Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' website reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown did the same Friday and registered a "Did Not Participate" on the injury report, so it seems he will not be able to get in any practice work this week. His status for Monday's game against the Cowboys will be revealed at some point Saturday, but it's looking likely he will be out a second week in a row.
