Quarterback Josh Allen said this week that Brown's production will be helped and not hurt by the addition of Stefon Diggs this offseason, The Buffalo News reports. "I think this is going to give them an opportunity to have more chances to catch the ball," Allen said on Sirius XM NFL Radio in reference to Brown and fellow receiver Cole Beasley. "They had career years and everybody talking about the addition of Stefon Diggs will hurt their value. I think it's the other way around. John was a 1,000-yard receiver last year. Man-to-man, he's extremely tough to cover."
EDGE Analysis
It's not like the young, media-savvy quarterback is going to say, "You know, I'm going to thrown so many passes to Diggs that John's production just won't be what it was," but Allen has a point. Brown , who had a career-high 1,060 receiving yards in 2019, is quite difficult to cover 1-on-1, so with Diggs around opposing defenses are going to have to pick their poison. That said, the Bills still like to run the ball and play great defense, so it seems tough to envision two 1,000-yard receivers even though the offense should be improved. Brown, who was incredibly consistent last season with 13 games of 50-plus receiving yards, may end up being a little more hot-and-cold than he was in 2019, depending how Buffalo's opponents cover the two fine wideouts. So while the overall yardage may be tough to eclipse, we could see Brown topping last year's two 100-plus games, all aided by some home run balls from his strong-armed quarterback. Brown will also have to compete for looks with Beasley, tight end Dawson Knox and running back Devin Singletary.

Brown will work with Stephon Diggs as the starting wideout tandem after the Bills traded away a large haul of draft picks to acquire the former Minnesota receiver this week.
EDGE Analysis
While in theory Diggs could draw much attention away from the speedy Brown, who served as the team's clear-cut No. 1 receiver last season, Diggs is certain to get a large number of looks himself. To a lessor extent, Cole Beasley, running back Devin Singletary and tight end Dawson Knox also need to get the ball. For a team that prefers to run the ball more than most, it may end up being tough for Brown to replicate his 72-1,060-6 line from 2019. We don't see a significant drop-off coming, but much of Brown's value last season came from week-to-week consistency. That could change now that there may be weeks where Diggs steals the show.

Brown had four receptions (eight targets) for 50 yards and threw a 16-yard touchdown pass in Saturday's 22-19 playoff loss to Houston.
EDGE Analysis
Brown had a modest game aside from the passing touchdown via a trick play on the opening drive (his second passing score this year). The veteran wideout finished the regular season as the Bills' top receiving option, posting his first 1,000-yard season since 2015 (72 receptions for 1,060 yards and seven total touchdowns). Brown just completed the first year of a three-year, $27 million contract, and his resurgence as a legitimate starting wide receiver should make him one of Josh Allen's most trusted options in 2020.

Brown is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
As is Cole Beasley, with the Bills resting several key players, which sets the stage for Isaiah McKenzie, Robert Foster and Duke Williams to handle the team's Week 17 wideout duties.

Although he was referring to quarterback Josh Allen, Bills coach Sean McDermott implied that Brown and other starters could be rested in the finale against the Jets, The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The team is locked into the No. 5 spot in the AFC, while Brown is probably the team's most important offensive player after Allen. We'd be surprised if the speedy receiver plays anywhere close to a full game. McDermott even acknowledged opposing defensive coordinator Gregg Williams' reputation for not going easy on the other team.

Brown hauled in only one of his four targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 16 loss to the Patriots. He also added one rush for three yards.
EDGE Analysis
Brown failed to record multiple receptions in a game for the first time this season. However, he made his one catch worthwhile, beating Stephon Gilmore deep for a 53-yard touchdown halfway through the third quarter. Having already set career-best marks in receptions and receiving yards, Brown will look to end the 2019 regular season on a positive note against the Jets in Week 17.

Brown had seven catches (10 targets) for 99 yards in Sunday's 17-10 victory over the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Brown returned to looking like a WR1 following a couple weeks of mediocrity. The speedy wideout reached double-digit targets for the fifth time this season, making him Josh Allen's most-trusted receiving threat. Brown will carry a new career high of 1,007 receiving yards into Saturday's critical matchup against the Patriots.

Brown caught three of eight targets for 26 yards during Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Brown tied for the team lead in targets but hauled in just 38 percent of his looks against a tough Baltimore secondary. When he did catch the ball, he struggled to make significant headway outside of his long gain of 18 yards. Among the league leaders in receiving yards just three weeks ago, the speedster has totaled 91 yards over his last three games. He'll look to get back on track next Sunday against the Steelers.

Brown caught three of four targets for 26 yards and completed his only pass attempt for a 28-yard touchdown to Devin Singletary in Thursday's 26-15 win over the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
The wide receiver had never attempted a pass in a game before, dating back to his college days, but Brown threw a perfect spiral to a wide-open Singletary after taking a pitch on a fake reverse. It's a little concerning that Brown has seen only eight targets over the last two games combined, but he's still Josh Allen's No. 1 option in the passing game, and game flow may have played a factor in this one as the Bills led most of the way. Expect Brown to be more involved as a receiver in next week's clash with the Ravens, his former team.

Brown caught two of four targets for 39 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 20-3 win over Denver.
EDGE Analysis
The Broncos had bottled Brown up for most of Sunday afternoon heading into the fourth quarter when, facing second and long, Brown burned his man up the sideline for a diving 34-yard touchdown. The play showed what makes Brown such a reliable fantasy contributor as he only needs a catch or two to put together a solid performance. Nearly a quarter of his receptions this season have gone for at least 20 yards and he has found the end zone thrice in his past two outings. After salvaging a tough matchup against Denver, Brown will have a quick turnaround and face another top-10 pass defense Thursday in Dallas.
