Free agent K Joe Nedney plans to retire after being released by the 49ers Friday. The 38-year-old Nedney cited a knee injury, which ended his 2010 season and caused a failed physical this week. "I'm at peace for now," said Nedney. "But check back in Week 1." The 15-year veteran walks away with 1,113 career points and a stellar 80.3 career field-goal percentage.
