Banyard was released by the Bills on Tuesday, Joe Buscaglia of WKBW.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Banyard was released by the Bills for the second time this month, this time in order to make room for new addition Kelvin Benjamin on the active roster. The 28-year-old back played primarily a special team's role with the Bills, taking the field three times this season.

The Bills re-signed Banyard on Saturday, Mike Rodak of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Banyard has been released by the team twice this season, but will join them once again entering Week 8. The journeyman is now the fourth running back on the roster, so his primary role will presumably involve special teams.

Banyard was released by the Bills on Tuesday, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Banyard suited up for two games with the Bills, receiving snaps only on special teams. The journeyman will now look to continue his career on a team in need of some extra backfield depth. The Bills will now proceed with three running backs on the depth chart.

Banyard is among the Bills' inactives for Sunday's Week 2 game in Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
Banyard suited up last week and saw 20 special teams snaps, but this seems to put him No. 4 in the pecking order behind LeSean McCoy, Mike Tolbert and Taiwan Jones.

Bills coach Sean McDermott said the team will use a committee behind LeSeam McCoy, mentioning Banyard, Mike Tolbert and Taiwan Jones, Joe Buscaglia of 7 ABC Buffalo reports.
EDGE Analysis
The surprise release of presumed No. 2 back Jonathan Williams seems to have partially been motivated by Banyard and Jones' ability to contribute on special teams. McCoy figures to dominate snaps and touches, but Banyard could have a significant role if McCoy misses some games for a third straight year. Banyard only has 23 carries and 10 receptions since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2012.

Banyard, a fifth-year journeyman, has made the Bills' initial 53-man roster.
EDGE Analysis
Banyard sealed his positive fate with a strong preseason -- including a 14-68-1 performance in Thursday's preseason finale -- though he'll open the season as the likely fourth option for carries behind LeSean McCoy, Jonathan Williams and Mike Tolbert.

Banyard carried 14 times for 68 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason finale. He also caught both of his targets for a total of 17 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Assuming the run-oriented Bills keep five people in their backfield, that looks like it'll be enough for Banyard to make the team over Taiwan Jones and Jordan Johnson. Anything can happen on what will be one giant cut day, but a fivesome of LeSean McCoy Jonathan Williams and Banyard at running back to go with a fullback tandem of Patrick DiMarco and Mike Tolbert looks like the best bet once all the dust settles. That all said, if Banyard does make the squad he'll start fourth in terms of fantasy value, ahead of only blocking guru DiMarco.

The Bills signed Banyard on Friday, ESPN's Mike Rodak reports.
EDGE Analysis
Banyard is jack of all trades who can provide depth in the running, passing, and return games. He even has the ability to serve as an emergency quarterback. However, the Bills are just filling out their full offseason roster, so it's no certainty the 28-year-old even makes the team.

Banyard was signed from the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Banyard has spent the entire season on the Jaguars practice squad and will finally have a chance to make his debut for the team. He's buried on the depth chart at running back but could contribute on special teams in Sunday's game against the Colts.

Banyard was released by Jacksonville on Sunday, Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post report
EDGE Analysis
Banyard has never made an Week 1 53-man roster through three years in the NFL, but has been called up several times after a team suffered injuries to their running back. Should injuries strike the Jaguars' backfield they may bring Banyard back.
