Patriots signed WR Jesse Holley, formerly of the Cowboys. Holley, a former basketball player at North Carolina, goes 6-foot-2, 220 and turned 28 in January. He'll compete for a roster spot on special teams.

The winner of Michael Irvin's 4th and Long reality show, Holley provided one of Dallas' big highlights last season with a 77-yard catch to beat the 49ers. He simply doesn't have the speed to be any more than a special teamer in the NFL.

Jesse Holley hauled in three passes for 96 yards including a 77-yard catch that set up the Cowboys' game winning field goal in overtime. It was a Week 2 coming out party for the former winner of Michael Irvin's "4th and Long" reality show on Spike TV. He could be given an opportunity to pass Kevin Ogletree for the team's third wide receiver job, but he isn't worth an add in fantasy leagues.
