Felton plans to retire from professional football following the 2017 season, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
With fewer teams in the modern NFL making use of fullbacks in their offense, a market hasn't opened up this season for Felton, who has said he has kept himself in shape and would be receptive to joining a playoff-contending team down the stretch before calling it quits. Assuming Felton remains unsigned the rest of the way, he'll finish his nine-year career with 178 rushing yards and 421 yards. As is typical with most fullbacks, Felton was most valuable as a run blocker during his stints with five teams, most memorably earning a Pro Bowl nod with the Vikings in 2012 for leading the way during Adrian Peterson's 2,097 rushing-yard campaign.

Felton is expected to sign with the Falcons on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Felton, now 34, is expected to joining the reigning NFC Champions after spending the past two seasons up in Buffalo. The fullback has bounced all over during his seven seasons in the league, including stints with the Lions, Vikings, Panthers, and Bills. If he signs with the Falcons he'll likely serve as a run blocker for the two-headed monster that is Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman (ankle).

Felton (foot) is active for Saturday's contest against Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Felton's status comes as little surprise after he practiced at least in a limited fashion each day this week. He hasn't had many carries but has been a key blocker in the Bills' run game.

Felton (foot) practiced on a limited basis for the third straight day Friday and is questionable for Saturday's game against the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
It looks like Felton will play as the Bills try to do harm to their rival's playoff chances. Felton only has six carries all season, but he's a huge asset to the running game, namely LeSean McCoy's success.

Felton (back) is active for Sunday's contest against Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Felton sat out most of practice this week but was able to participate in a limited fashion on Friday. He hasn't seen many carries this season but has been a valuable blocker for the Bills' No. 1 ranked rushing attack.

Felton (back) practiced on a limited basis Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Miami.
EDGE Analysis
The Bills have the NFL's top rushing attack, but they'll head into this week's contest with some question marks, given the injuries to LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and Felton, one of his better blockers.

Felton (back) did not practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Felton has just two rushing attempts all season, but he still helps out with Buffalo's power rushing game. The league's top-ranked run attack could have a different look this week if both Felton and LeSean McCoy (hamstring) are unable to go against division-rival Miami.

Felton, cut last week by the Bills, is about to be re-signed by the team, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Bills kept a younger (and cheaper) Glenn Gronkowski at fullback over Felton, but the team's run game struggled against the Ravens on Sunday and it looks like they want to bring Felton's veteran skills back to try and open up some more holes this week against the Jets. If the fullback position wasn't avoided by so many teams these days, a guy with Felton's football skills probably would have been snapped up by now, so the Bills should consider themselves lucky they're getting their guy back.

Felton has been released by the Bills, ESPN's Adam Scheffer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Felton was a pretty big favorite to land the fullback job, but in the end coach Rex Ryan decided he liked undrafted rookie Glenn Gronkowski better. While fullbacks are a dying breed in the NFL, there's still a pretty good chance Felton could get picked up by a team looking to open up some holes for an elite running back.

Felton will sign as a free agent with the Bills, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports. Felton only had four rushing attempts with the Vikings last season and didn't have a single carry the two seasons before that. However, he was considered perhaps the best free agent fullback on the market and Bills coordinator Greg Roman favors a heavy run attack. That means LeSean McCoy may be the one picking up Felton from Buffalo International Airport this week.
