Maclin (ankle) secured two of three targets for 23 yards in Saturday's 27-20 divisional round loss to the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
The seven-year veteran was able to play despite being considered highly questionable all week long, but was not much of a factor. Maclin was heavily out-targeted by fellow wideouts Albert Wilson and Chris Conley, as well as by tight end Travis Kelce. Although the season concluded for him in less than ideal fashion, Maclin proved to be an outstanding free-agent acquisition in the 2015 campaign. He managed a career-high in receptions (87), while posting the second-best totals of his career in yardage and touchdown catches.

Maclin (ankle) is active for Saturday's divisional round game at New England, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Emerging from wild-card weekend with a high ankle sprain, Maclin was unable to fit in any practice reps this week, as the training room was his domain. Although he's been deemed active, his potential workload is to be determined, which could place more of the receiving burden on the likes of Travis Kelce (groin), Albert Wilson (hamstring), and Chris Conley.

Maclin (ankle) faces an "uphill battle" to play in Saturday's game against the Patriots, NFL.com's Jeff Darlinton reports.
EDGE Analysis
Officially Maclin is a game-time decision, but from the sound of things, owners in daily leagues would be wise to look elsewhere at wide receiver. He led the team with 1,088 receiving yards and eight touchdowns off a career-high 87 catches this year, so if he cannot play, there will be a big hole at wide receiver for the Chiefs to fill. Albert Wilson and rookie Chris Conley should see plenty of targets Saturday against the Patriots if Maclin is ruled out.

Maclin (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's playoff game against the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Per the Kansas City Star, the status of the wideout -- who is dealing with what has been described a "mild" high ankle sprain -- is viewed as a game-time decision in advance of Saturday's 4:35 ET kickoff.

Maclin (ankle) was listed as a non-participant at Thursday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
While Maclin was able to do a little bit early in practice, he didn't participate in the team portion of the session. As Saturday's game against the Patriots approaches, the wideout's status is cloudy and could well turn into a game-time decision.

Contrary to what was previously reported, Maclin (ankle) actually was on the practice field Thursday afternoon, but he wasn't working with the team's other wide receivers, ESPN's Adam Teicher reports.
EDGE Analysis
The initial report was apparently a bit hasty, which is good news for anyone who's hoping that Maclin can play in Saturday's game against the Patriots. It now seems likely that the star wideout will be listed as a limited participant at Thursday's practice, following DNPs on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Maclin's injury designation for the game won't be available until Friday, but he seems to be trending toward a 'questionable' tag.

Maclin (ankle) was not present for the early portion of Thursday's practice, ESPN's Adam Teicher reports.
EDGE Analysis
Maclin's official practice status won't be available until later in the afternoon, but it sounds as if he may finish the week without any form of participation. The hope is that he'll still be listed as 'questionable', as opposed to 'doubtful' or 'out', on Friday's final injury report. He didn't practice Tuesday or Wednesday.

Maclin (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Teicher reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per coach Andy Reid, the wideout is dealing with a "mild" high ankle sprain, with Maclin's status for Saturday's game against the Patriots unclear at this stage, though on Tuesday Reid didn't rule out the possibility that Maclin could suit up this weekend, even if he doesn't end up practicing this week.

Maclin (ankle) won't take part in Tuesday's practice, but head coach Andy Reid said the wideout is making good progress, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official website reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star, Reid confirmed that Maclin was diagnosed with a mild high ankle sprain. The star wide receiver thus appears to be in serious danger of missing Saturday's game in New England, but the 'mild' designation leaves some hope that he'll be ready. If Maclin is ultimately absent or limited, a slew of players will be candidates to take on added targets, with Chris Conley the most obvious bet to account for most of Maclin's usual snaps.

While an MRI revealed that Maclin did not tear his ACL, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the report indicates that the wideout is dealing with a high ankle sprain.
EDGE Analysis
While this is good news overall, especially given that Maclin has previously torn his right ACL on two occasions, the wideout's current injury puts his status for this coming Saturday's game against the Patriots in question. If Maclin misses the contest, or ends up in uniform, but limited, it would be a big hit to the Chiefs' passing attack, with Chris Conley a candidate for added snaps in such a scenario.
