Heuerman (shoulder) was a full participant at the Broncos' practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Heuerman was a limited participant Wednesday after sustaining the injury in Sunday's win over the Cowboys. The 24-year-old will likely remain behind starting tight end Virgil Green for Denver's Week 3 matchup with Buffalo.

Heurerman (shoulder) was only able to practice in a limited role Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Heurerman went down with a shoulder injury during Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. He tallied one catch for 15 yards on his only target before being forced out of the game. A.J. Derby is next in line to back up Virgil Green at tight end if Heuerman is unable to take the field in Week 3.

Heuerman injured his shoulder during Sunday's victory over the Cowboys, Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The severity of Heuerman's injury hasn't been determined. He'll likely undergo further testing Monday, and it wouldn't be much of a surprise if he was a limited participant when this week's practices open Wednesday.

Heuerman nabbed one of two passes for 20 yards in Monday's win over the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Both of Heuerman's targets came early in the first quarter, including a 20-yard nab over the middle to help set up Denver's first touchdown. Head coach Vance Joseph said after the game that it was part of the Broncos' game plan to attack the Chargers' Cover-3 zone with tight ends up the seams. It has been offensive coordinator Mike McCoy's tendency to use multiple tight end formations to create mismatches. The only question will be which of the trio of Heuerman, A.J. Derby and Virgil Green will be the one to benefit most.

Heuerman has quietly had a strong camp, Troy Renck of Denver7 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Heuerman was drafted as the Broncos' tight end of the future in the third round of the 2015 draft and swiftly tore his ACL in rookie camp. Two years, the acquisition of A.J. Derby, and the drafting of Jake Butt later and Heuerman is still an unknown commodity. He nabbed seven catches at a 13.3-yard-per-catch clip in 2016's final three games. That's not much, but given Butt's recovery from ACL surgery and Derby and Virgil Green both possessing somewhat incomplete skillsets - it wouldn't be a complete surprise for Heuerman to finally live up to his billing in 2017.

Heuerman, the Broncos' 2015 third-round pick, will see some competition from 2016 fifth-round pick Jake Butt, Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
As if the Ohio State - Michigan rivalry couldn't get any tenser, the Buckeye alum, Heuerman, will have to start making moves to fend of Michigan's Butt. Heuerman lost his rookie season to a torn ACL and, though he played sparingly in 2016, didn't seem to inspire the front office who, since midway through last season, has added both A.J. Derby in a trade and drafted Butt. Butt is still recovering from a torn ACL suffered in the Orange Bowl, so he is unlikely to make major strides until the season begins. Still, while Heuerman flashed some big-play ability by averaging 15.7 yards per catch in 2016, he's going to have to do a lot more to emerge atop Denver's logjam at tight end.

Heuerman cauht three of six targets for 32 yards in Sunday's loss to Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
Heuerman saw career highs in snaps, catches and targets with A.J. Derby and Virgil Green out on Sunday. Should either of them return to the lineup in Week 17, Heuerman is likely to take a small step back, but don't be surprised if his role remains prominent as the game will be all about evaluating young talent and injuries have limited the 2015 third-round pick's usage in his first two seasons.

Heuerman is on track to start at tight end for the Broncos on Sunday against the Chiefs, with fellow TEs A.J. Derby and Virgil Green both out with concussions.
EDGE Analysis
Two of Heuerman's four receptions this season have gone for 20 or more yards and he did haul in two catches on four targets for 40 yards this past Sunday against the Patriots, but the 2015 third-rounder remains a speculative fantasy play in Week 16.

Heuerman nabbed two of four targets for 40 yards in Sunday's loss to the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Heuerman nabbed his first pass since Week 4 on Sunday. Last year's third-rounder has struggled to get acclimated in Denver, with Virgil Green taking the starting gig during the off-season and A.J. Derby coming on strong since a mid-season trade. He might get his chance on Sunday with both Derby and Green in concussion protocol. If he does see extended time, look for Denver to use Heuerman to stretch the field. Two of his four receptions this season have gone for 20 or more yards.

Heuerman (groin) is without a Week 5 injury designation after fully practicing Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Heuerman was limited during Thursday's session to ensure his availability going into the weekend, when injuries to both Virgil Green (calf) and John Phillips (groin) leaves Denver's tight end situation in question. Although the rookie third-rounder has managed just one catch in both of his appearances this season, the Broncos' injuries at his position could seemingly help his fantasy stock Sunday against the Falcons.
