Prosch was released by the Texans on Friday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Texans handed Prosch a three-year contract at the beginning of 2017, but decided to save the $1 million guaranteed base salary. He was used sparingly on offense, mostly as a blocking back, and was primarily a special-teams contributor.

Prosch signed a three-year contract extension with the Texans on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The durable Prosch, who has played in all but one game in three seasons with the Texans, is primarily a lead blocker and special teams contributor. As a fantasy asset, there's not much there. Prosch has 10 rushing attempts and six targets over 47 games played.

Prosch (ankle) was a full participant in Friday's practice and will play in Saturday's playoff game against the Raiders.
EDGE Analysis
Prosch missed the Texans' regular season finale with an ankle injury. Having logged just four rushing attempts all season, he is far off the fantasy radar.

Prosch (ankle) was ruled out of Sunday's game versus the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Prosch wasn't able to practice this week due to an issue with one of his ankles. If ever in need of traditional fullback services Sunday, the Texans could turn to either C.J. Fiedorowicz or Stephen Anderson.

Prosch (hamstring) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Prosch has collected double-digit offensive snap counts for the past three weeks, but has just one carry over that span, and hasn't been targeted in the passing game. The fact he's active has little fantasy impact, outside of the fact that he'll be available to help pave the way for starter Lamar Miller.

EDGE Analysis
Prosch, the Texans' starting fullback, practiced in full capacity Friday and doesn't appear in danger of missing Monday's action.

Prosch returned to practice Tuesday wearing a cast on on his left hand, CSN Houston reports. Neither Prosch nor head coach Bill O'Brien would go into detail about the injury.
The rookie full back selected in the sixth round of the 2014 draft had been expected to be the lead blocking back, but he's missed some time due to the injury. Prosch is confident he'll be able to play with the cast, though it's too early to say if he'll suit up this week against the Falcons.

Head coach Bill O'Brien was vague when discussing the injury, but seemed to think Prosch will be back soon. The fullback was uniform for practice but was limited.

Texans signed No. 211 overall pick FB Jay Prosch to a four-year contract.
A traditional lead blocker, Prosch has a clear path to starting duties in Houston. He'll also have a role on special teams if he cracks the 53-man roster.
