Redskins waived/released RB Jawan Jamison, RB Davin Meggett, and TE Richard Quinn. Jamison was the 228th pick in last April's draft but showed up to camp out of shape and didn't contribute as a rookie. Quinn is a former second-round pick of the Broncos. Meggett is the son of former Giants star, Dave.

As beat writer John Keim notes, it's "inexcusable" for a seventh-round pick to report to his first training camp anything short of peak condition. The 228th pick in last year's draft, Jamison will be a huge long shot for a 2014 roster spot. We were not impressed by Jamison's game tape at Rutgers, either.
