The Niners gave Jennings a second-round restricted free agent tender Monday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
This gives the Niners the right to match any offer Jennings receives from another team, with a second-round pick coming back in return if they decline. No team is going to give up a pick that early for the right to hand Jennings a considerable contract, meaning a trade is now the only way he'd end up on a new team for 2024. While he hasn't seen many targets as the No. 3 receiver in a loaded offense, Jennings had Super Bowl MVP hype at one point in the big game when it looked like the Niners might win and he had a passing TD and a receiving score. Fantasy relevance in 2024 seems unlikely if fellow wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel both are on the team and healthy.

Jennings (head) caught one of two targets for eight yards in Sunday's 34-31 NFC Championship Game win over the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
Jennings had to leave the contest briefly to be examined for a concussion, but he was eventually cleared to return and finished with 22 snaps on offense. The physical wideout even got into an altercation with a Detroit defensive back at one point, but he appears to have escaped the game no worse for wear. Jennings left most of the playmaking to his superstar teammates Sunday, resulting in a forgettable fantasy day when compared to the 5-61-0 fantasy line he netted in the divisional-round win over the Packers while helping to replace the injured Deebo Samuel. With the 49ers' core at full strength heading into Super Bowl Sunday, Jennings should find himself with another light target count in the final game of the 2023 season.

Jennings (head) was cleared to return to Sunday's game against the Lions, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jennings exited the contest to be evaluated for a head injury but was cleared shortly thereafter. He'll return to his role as the 49ers' primary slot receiver.

Jennings is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Lions due to a head injury, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jennings delayed the game in the second quarter and is being evaluated for a concussion. Ray-Ray McCloud will be asked to step up if Jennings is unable to return. Jennings was not targeted prior to his exit.

Jennings brought in five of six targets for 61 yards in the 49ers' 24-21 divisional-round win over the Packers on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
Jennings, who'd missed the last three regular-season games due to a concussion, ended up as the surprise leader in receptions on the night for the 49ers. Naturally, Deebo Samuel's exit from the game in the first half due to a shoulder injury played a significant role in Jennings' unexpected production, but the fourth-year pro could certainly continue to see expanded opportunity in an NFC Championship Game matchup against either the Buccaneers or Lions on Sunday, Jan. 28 if Samuel remains sidelined.

Jennings has been cleared from concussion protocol, Josh Dubow of The Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jennings was unavailable for the 49ers' last three regular season games while nursing a concussion, but he now appears to be ready to go for the postseason. The wide receiver will have an opportunity to get back into the swing of things during the team's wild-card round bye week before they host their upcoming opponent in the divisional round next weekend.

The 49ers have downgraded Jennings (concussion) to out for Sunday's game against the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Jennings showed some progress in his quest through the concussion protocol this week, logging three consecutive limited sessions before the 49ers gave him a questionable tag for Week 18. Saturday's development indicates that he wasn't able to gain clearance from an independent neurologist and thus will miss his third game in a row. With Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk candidates to see limited work Sunday, the likes of Ray-Ray McCloud (ribs, questionable), Chris Conley and Ronnie Bell may end up on the receiving end of many of Sam Darnold's passes.

Jennings (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
After sitting out the 49ers' last two games while recovering from a concussion, Jennings was able to take the field for practices this week, albeit as a limited participant. According to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, Jennings still has one more stage of the five-step concussion protocol to clear, but if he's able to get the green light from an independent neurologist Saturday, he could be able to make his return to the lineup a day later in the 49ers' regular-season finale. San Francisco has already locked up the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs and is expected to rest several key players, but Jennings could be in store for something close to or greater than his typical workload if he manages to clear the protocol. Jennings had been serving as the 49ers' No. 3 receiver prior to suffering the concussion, but he hadn't played more than 50 percent of the offensive snaps in any of his last six outings while San Francisco had made liberal use of sets featuring a fullback or two tight ends.

Jennings (concussion) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While he maintained his activity level from Wednesday's session, Jennings was seen working without a blue non-contact jersey, per Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area, which may be a sign that the wide receiver has nearly made his way through the concussion protocol. Gaining clearance from an independent neurologist will be the final hurdle for the fourth-year pro to play for the first time since Week 15, but Friday's injury report will reveal whether or not Jennings heads into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Rams.

Coach Kyle Shanahan said Jennings (concussion) will be limited at Wednesday's practice, Lindsey Pallares of the 49ers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jennings has missed the past two games while making his way through the concussion protocol. With his first on-field work since suffering the injury on the horizon, he's putting himself in a position to return to action Sunday against the Rams. So far, coach Kyle Shanahan has ruled out quarterback Brock Purdy (coach's decision) and running back Christian McCaffrey (calf) for the regular-season finale, but no other skill-position players have been deemed unavailable. In the end, Jennings will need to be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to have a chance to be active this weekend.
