Ankrah was promoted to the active roster after Jadeveon Clowney (microfracture surgery, knee) was placed on injured reserve. That implies he'll be a deep reserve at linebacker this week against Indianapolis, but the Texans may be without Whitney Mercilus, who missed Thursday's practice due to a back injury.
