The Cardinals cut Brown from the practice squad Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Brown has been unable to secure a role to start the season after spending the last two years in Seattle and compiling 30 receptions for 386 yards and seven touchdowns over 30 games. The 30-year-old receiver likely will look for another practice squad role.

The Cardinals signed Brown to the practice squad Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
After tours of duty with two NFC West teams to start his career -- the Cardinals, then Seahawks -- Brown spent some time with the 49ers in training camp but ultimately was released in late August. Less than a month later, he found employment with the Cardinals yet again, only this time he'll have to work his way up to the active roster. And at the moment, just one of the six wide receivers on the 53-man -- Christian Kirk, groin -- is tending to an injury.

The 49ers released Brown on Thursday, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
After getting a week to prove his worth with the 49ers, Brown has been jettisoned in favor of a new pair of receivers (Kevin White and River Cracraft). Brown has been used regularly but in a limited role during seven pro seasons, so he's likely only a phone call away from another chance elsewhere in the league

The 49ers signed Brown on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
And Brown's tour of the NFC West continues. After spending the first five years of his career with the Cardinals, he was a depth wideout in Seattle the past two seasons. He joins a banged-up San Francisco receiving corps, with Deebo Samuel (foot) and Richie James (wrist) on the reserve/non-football injury list and Jalen Hurd awaiting word on whether he tore his ACL. For his career, Brown has averaged more than two targets per game in just two seasons, but his receptions have gone for a 13.5-YPC clip.

Brown had a tryout with the Texans on Sunday, Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown played a limited role in Seattle over the last two years, posting 30 receptions for 220 yards and two touchdowns through 30 games. He wasn't dependable with seven catchless games in 2019, but he could add solid depth elsewhere. He could even do so in Houston, but he likely would be on the roster bubble -- despite DeAndre Hopkins' departure -- after the team added Brandin Cooks and Randall Cobb this offseason.

Brown isn't likely to re-sign with Seattle, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown signed a two-year, $5.5 million contract during the 2018 offseason and made it through both years of his deal. He started six of his 30 regular-season games and averaged just 24.2 offensive snaps per contest, catching 30 of 47 targets for 386 yards and seven touchdowns. Brown isn't likely to find a top-three WR role as a 30-year-old free agent, but his ability to contribute on special teams and in the red zone could lead to some interest for a depth job. Meanwhile, the Seahawks don't have a clear No. 3 behind Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf, with options from the current roster including David Moore, Malik Turner, John Ursua and perhaps eventually Josh Gordon (suspension).

Brown, who wasn't targeted in the Sunday's 28-23 playoff loss to the Packers, finished with 16 catches for 220 yards and two touchdowns over 14 regular-season games.
EDGE Analysis
Brown started the season as a starter but slowly saw his usage disintegrate as David Moore got healthy and Malik Turner took on additional duties. The 30-year-old Brown didn't play more than 11 offensive snaps in any of the last five regular-season contests, and he logged just nine in the only playoff game in which he played. He'll be an unrestricted free agent in March, and even if the team re-signs him, Brown won't be on fantasy radars in 2020.

Brown (knee) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's divisional-round game in Green Bay, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The same can be said for fellow wideout Malik Turner, who passed all the phases of the concussion protocol. Brown thus should be active this weekend, but his opportunities could be few and far between due to the receiving corps getting back to full capacity.

Brown (knee) was a full participant on Thursday's injury report, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown sprained his knee during the regular-season finale, and while he was downgraded to out in advance of the Seahawks' wild-card win at Philadelphia, his absence eventually was chalked up to a personal matter. With a full practice under his belt this week, he's poised to work as a periphery option in Seattle's passing attack Sunday in Green Bay but could see a few more snaps if Malik Turner doesn't get through the concussion protocol.

Brown (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown missed the wild-card win over the Eagles, but Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reported Monday that Brown sat out to tend to a personal matter, and his knee isn't a major issue. However, Brown still isn't back to full speed but is expected to be ready for Sunday's divisional-round game versus the Packers.
