Patriots waived LS James Dearth and OL Steve Maneri. Dearth is expected to be replaced by Danny Aiken as long snapper. Maneri is a developmental prospect after playing tight end at Temple.

Patriots signed LS James Dearth, formerly of the Chargers. Dearth, 35, spent all of last season on injured reserve with a fractured foot. He replaces incumbent Matt Katula, who was let go by the Pats on Monday.
