Crawford only played three games for the Dolphins in 2019 before landing on IR due to a knee injury. Despite now being healthy, Crawford wasn't in realistic contention to earn a spot on the final team in 2020. He previously played a full 16-game slate with the Packers in 2018, during which time he primarily contributed on special teams.

Crawford was originally claimed off waivers by the Dolphins on Sep. 3 and played in their first three games, seeing just 17 snaps on defense. It's unclear when exactly he sustained the knee injury, but it's obviously serious enough to land him on injured reserve.

Crawford was unable to make the Packers' 53-man roster, but the Dolphins are willing to take a chance on him. He projects to provide depth at linebacker, and could see action right away if Charles Harris (wrist) is unable to go Sunday against the Ravens.

Crawford made nine tackles and recovered one fumble across 16 games with the Packers in 2018.
EDGE Analysis
Crawford, who went undrafted out of Illinois in 2018, played only one defensive snap during his rookie season, which came during a Week 4 tilt against the Bills. He did however log a respectable special-teams workload of 333 snaps. He'll work to stand out this offseason, and return to the Packers as a depth linebacker and regular contributor on special teams in 2019.
