Ferguson recorded three receptions on three targets for 33 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Ferguson saw a season-low three targets, with Ryan Flournoy joining George Pickens and Javonte Williams as Dak Prescott's favorite targets. Ferguson was productive with the opportunity he saw, hauling in a 19-yard touchdown just before halftime. He has a touchdown in three straight games, though he could become more reliant upon efficiency with CeeDee Lamb (ankle) potentially in line for a Week 7 return.

Ferguson caught seven of nine targets for 49 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 37-22 win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Dak Prescott continues to lean heavily on the tight end while CeeDee Lamb (ankle) is sidelined. Ferguson was on the other end of two of the QB's four TD passes on the afternoon, hitting paydirt on a 26-yard strike and a one-yard toss in the second quarter as the Cowboys built a 23-3 lead before halftime. Over three games since Lamb went down, Ferguson has compiled a 27-171-3 line on 30 targets, and his seven receptions Sunday were a team high. He'll look to keep rolling in Week 6 against the Panthers.

Ferguson brought in all seven of his targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 40-40 tie versus Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Ferguson's perfect day at the office also came with the tight end's first receiving touchdown of the season. The 26-year-old failed to sniff the 13 targets he averaged over his last two starts, but the increase efficiency coupled with a trip to the end zone resulted in his best standard fantasy score to date. Ferguson should continue operating as the Cowboys' No. 2 receiving option for as long as CeeDee Lamb (ankle) remains sidelined. A scenario that should repeat itself for a Week 5 matchup against the Jets next Sunday.

Ferguson recorded 13 receptions on 14 targets for 82 yards in Sunday's 31-14 loss to the Bears.
EDGE Analysis
Ferguson commanded double-digit targets for the second consecutive week, though he was aided by the absence of CeeDee Lamb (ankle) in Sunday's loss. Ferguson was targeted exclusively in the short areas of the field, with his longest gain of the day going for only 12 yards. While his showings haven't been particularly explosive, Ferguson has a key role in the Dallas offense and has topped 75 receiving yards in consecutive contests.

Ferguson caught nine of 12 targets for 78 yards in Sunday's 40-37 overtime win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The tight end led the Cowboys in target volume during a wild seesaw affair and tied CeeDee Lamb for the team lead in receptions, although Lamb out-paced him in yards with 112. Ferguson has re-established himself as the main security blanket for Dak Prescott, and while he's still looking for his first touchdown since he caught three against Green Bay in the wild-card round of the 2023 season, he's delivered a 14-101-0 line on 18 targets through the first two games of the current campaign. Ferguson could hit paydirt in Week 3 against a Bears defense that just gave up a TD to the Lions' Brock Wright, one of five touchdowns thrown by Jared Goff in a 52-21 rout.

Ferguson brought in five of six targets for 23 yards in the Cowboys' 24-20 loss to the Eagles on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Ferguson finished second in receptions on the Cowboys to CeeDee Lamb and third in receiving yards, although the latter total was a reflection of a low-volume passing night for Dallas. Nevertheless, it was encouraging to see Ferguson as Dak Prescott's second-favorite target on the night, as it was a reminder of the chemistry between the two that was nullified by Prescott's season-ending hamstring avulsion in Week 9 of last season. Ferguson could remain similarly busy during the Cowboys' Week 2 home opener against the Giants on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Ferguson isn't suited up ahead of Friday's preseason game versus the Falcons, Clarence Hill Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ferguson thus won't see any action during exhibition season, though his standing as the Cowboys' No. 1 TE was intact all along, especially after inking a four-year, $52 million extension in the early stages of training camp. He's combined for 130 catches (on 188 targets) for 1,255 yards and five touchdowns in 31 regular-season games over the last two years, but he'll have a bit more competition for targets in 2025 following the addition of George Pickens to the WR room this offseason.

Ferguson didn't suit up for Saturday's preseason loss to the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
The tight end missed the Cowboys' first exhibition contest the week before due to a minor lower-back issue, but per Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram he was able to return to practice Tuesday. Ferguson's absence against Baltimore was simply due to the coaching staff electing to sit all the starters and key personnel, including Dak Prescott. Ferguson will get one more chance to see preseason action Friday against the Falcons.

Ferguson (lower back) will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ferguson departed Thursday's practice early due to a lower back contusion but returned to the field in time for Friday's non-padded session. While it sounds like the starting tight end is mostly dealing with pain management and isn't a candidate to miss any regular-season time, the Cowboys will nonetheless take a cautious approach to his participation level. Ferguson's next chance to suit up for preseason action will come Aug. 16 versus the Ravens.

Ferguson (back) participated in Friday's non-padded practice, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was diagnosed with a back contusion after an early departure from Thursday's practice. Ferguson told reporters that he's dealing with some pain, but he wants to stay in his routine now that he knows there's no structural injury. Injured or not, he'll presumably be one of the many Cowboys held out of Saturday's preseason game against the Rams.
